Time of My Life

This week at Creative Knockouts, our challenge is love/Valentine's Day.

The team used The Time of Mine Life from the Paper Shelter.  I was pressed for time this week but every image from The Paper Shelter comes with a colored version and a background paper.  I used both for my project.  I am not sure how the image ended up being so small, though.  I must have mis-typed the size, but I didn't want to print it again.

You have a chance to win three images from the paper shelter for playing along.  Check out all of the amazing images in the shop.  You get two black and white, two colored, a paper, and a composite with the paper and a colored image.

Sweet Piggy

This week at Creative Knockouts our theme is lots of layers.  I used my layers to create a fun scene.

This A Piggie's Happy Place from The Paper Shelter.  It was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette.  I had so much finding fun prints to make the hills and sky. This is one of my favorite ways to make lots of layers.  The Paper Shelter images also come with a background paper.  I loved the paper, but wanted to create this scene.

Winter Fun

The theme at Crafty Gals Corner this week is Winter Fun.

I used Snowboarder Girl from The Paper Shelter.  She is colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I cut some snow from a white glitter and an Astrosilver cardstock.  The clouds are from the Bo Bunny Sun Kissed collection available digitally on Snap Click Supply.  It is one of my favorite papers to use for the sky.  The sentiment is stamped on a cloud left on a scrap of the paper.

Fall Leaf Dress

This week at Crafty Sentiments our challenge is Anything Goes.

I used Isobel - Leaf Dress for my project and colored her in beautiful fall colors.  She was colored with Copic markers.  I wanted her to look like she was swinging through the die, so she was fussy cut.

Unicornmania

This week at Creative Knockouts, our challenge is to have Something to Say.  Use a sentiment on your project and you can play along!

This week I used Unicornmania from The Paper Shelter for my project.  Unicorns have always been popular, but now they are everywhere!  And everything has a unicorn horn!  This sweet girl came with a background paper as well, but it was square and I couldn't make it fit my card.  My sentiment is a simple foiled tag that I found in the Target dollar bins.  Love rummaging through those bins!

You have a chance to win fabulous prizes from The Paper Shelter in our challenge.  Three digital images will go to this week's winner.  You can click the badge below to check out all of the darling images in the shop.  Each image comes in a pack with a background paper, two colored images, two black and white images, and a composite of the colored image on the background paper.  With those sweet faces staring at you, it will be difficult not to fill your cart!

Jurassic Love

This week at Creative Knockouts the theme is Love Is In the Air.  And since it is Valentine's Day, it is of course the perfect them.  I hope your Valentine showed you a little love today!

This is Jurassic Love from The Paper Shelter.  The background paper comes with the image.  In addition, you get a colored composite of the image and paper, two colored images in PNG and JPG format, and two black and white images.  So in each pack you get 6 items!  There are so many wonderful themes to choose from!  I colored this image with Copic markers and cut it out using the Silhouette Cameo.  The dies are from the Spellbinders club kits from January 2018.  The heart arrow is from the Small Die Kit and the heart border is from the Large Die Kit.  The gold mirror card stock also came from one of the previous card kits.

You have a chance to win 3 images from The Paper Shelter for playing along this week.  Click the badge below to go to the shop to make your wish list!

Pandacorn!

Welcome back to a new challenge at the Li'l Patch of Crafty Friends.

This challenge I have used I'm a Pandacorn, Deal With It! from The Paper Shelter.  I used the black and white image, but you also get a colored image as well in both .png and .jpg formats.  In addition, you get a composite on a background and the background separate.  I wanted to use the background paper, but couldn't make it look right to fit on the card.  Instead, I used a paper from the Cool Summer collection from Carta Bella available digitally on Snap Click Supply and a fabric doily.  No pandacorn would be complete without a little shimmer, so the horn and the background have a generous helping of gold Wink of Stella.

You have a chance to win three images from our sponsor, The Paper Shelter.  Click the badge below to see all of the wonderful images in the shop.

Hello Fall

This week at Creative Knockouts our theme is Fall.  We want to see your fall colors, fall images, fall everything!  I love the colors of fall but I don't get them where I live.  I can't wait to see them on all of your projects.

This is Autumn Breeze from The Paper Shelter.  She is colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I used a little gold Wink of Stella on the embroidery of her dress, but it was impossible to capture in a picture.

You have a chance to win 3 images from The Paper Shelter for playing along.  Click the badge below to check out all of the gorgeousness at the shop.  You get a black and white image and a colored image in both .png and .jpg format, a background paper, and a composite of the colored image and the background paper together!  It is such a great value for the money!  Right now, they have some Halloween images on sale.  I am going to go fill up my cart once I finish this post!

A Little Laid Back

The next challenge at Crafty Gals Corner is fancy folds.  I don't have much of an arsenal when it comes to fancy folds, so I took to the internet to find something.  I found a blog post about a diagonal gate fold card that looked interesting but was very simple to create. Thank you for the inspiration Queen B Creations!

The great thing about this fancy fold is it just takes two scores and one cut to create.

The image I used is Laid Back Witch from The Paper Shelter.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I wanted to use the gorgeous paper that came with her for this card, but because of the way the opening is cut, I didn't think it would look right.  I used the witch hat die to make a closure for the card because it wants to spring open.

To create this card, simply score an 8.5" x 11" piece of cardstock down the center of each side.  You will score at 4.25" on the short side and 5.5" on the long side.  Then cut the piece of cardstock on the diagonal.  Now you have two cards ready to go for this super easy fun fold.

You have a chance to win a $15 gift certificate from The Paper Shelter this challenge.  Click the badge below to check out the shop.  There are so many fabulous images and they all come with a paper, colored and black and white images, and a composite to fit all of your crafting needs.
