Oh my gosh! I forgot to schedule my challenge post for this week! I can't believe I forgot. There are so many things happening here right now, that I seem to be chasing my tail most days!
I used Sunflower Buggies, Stitched Hello, and Little Bug Line. The images were colored with Copic Markers. I cut the card using my Cricut and the Wild Card cartridge at 5.5". The flower was created using a punch and I shaped the petals using an embossing stylus.

Tack-ling a New Challenge
Enfys over at Going Buggy has set a fun challenge this month. She is challenging everyone to use an item on their project that was not intended for paper crafting.
Some time ago on clearance I bought an item not intended for paper crafting with just such a purpose in mind. I had forgotten about them until this challenge. I thought I had missed the deadline, only to find out it doesn't end until Monday. So I dug out my bargain. Can you find them on my card?
My item not intended for paper crafting are the large "brads" at the bottom. They are actually not brads. They are push pins. I cut the pin part off using a pair of wire cutters. They actually started life looking like this:

I had to adhere them using some foam left over from trimming my rubber stamps because they aren't flat on the back.

Feeling Dotty!
The challenge this week at Meljen's Designs is Dots.
I usually choose my image first, but I found this great polka dot paper in my scrap stash and decided I wanted to use it and pulled all of my colors from the paper. I have had Fuzzer the Monster printed for a while, but haven't used him. I thought his spots were perfect for this challenge, and, because he is a monster, I could color him to match the paper too! I colored him using my Prismacolor pencils and used baby oil to blend them. I tried to get a "fur" effect, but have to practice more to get that right!
Don't forget about the anniversary blog hop going on right now. You still have some time to get your comments in to win images from each of the design team members. Also, if you post a comment on every blog, you have the chance at the grand prize which is a pack of Melissa's favorite images! They are being featured on the blog every day this week so you can see which images they are. In addition, there is a Buy One Get One Free sale going on at the shop the entire month of April.
