Hugs and Squeezes

Hello MoonFlower Friends.  I am back with a little inspiration for you today using Valentine Teddy.

I colored Valentine Teddy using Copic markers and cut the image out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I always try to find more than one use for a digital stamp.  Even though this is a Valentine's Day stamp, I thought this sweet girl and her teddy would be a great image to use for a card to cheer someone up.  I found this sentiment in the Silhouette store and knew it would work so well with this card.  The gorgeous blue rose on this card was made by a design teamie from another team.  We did a Christmas card swap, and I got three of these flowers with my swap!  I love them!  Jeanie, you did such a great job!

If you haven't signed up for the newsletter, you need to!  Each month Andreia draws an exclusive newsletter freebie that is not available for purchase until the next newsletter goes out.  She always comes up with something gorgeous!  Pop over to the website and enter your email address in the field.  Once you confirm your email, you will be able to get the current month's freebie.

You can use your newsletter freebie to play along in the challenge in the group on Facebook.  Just ask to join the group!  We would love to have you and see all of your gorgeous MoonFlower projects.

A Few Stitches

Hello!  It is time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts.  Our challenge theme this week is In Stitches.  You must use stitching in some form on your project.

For my project, I used Tulips by The Paper Shelter.  They have such adorable images and you get a digital paper with each stamp.  The paper I used is the one that came with the stamp.  I printed it three times: one for the base, one for the green strip, and one for the doily.  I cut the doily out by hand because I couldn't get the Silhouette to do it for me!  I included the butterflies and bent them just a little.  I added clear Wink of Stella to them to add a little sparkle.  I cut the green strip from one copy of the paper so I could stitch it onto the base.  Layering the paper gives just a bit of dimension to the final piece.  I colored the image with Copics and used the Silhouette to cut her out.

The Paper Shelter is our sole sponsor this week.  You have a chance to win a $15 gift card, so fire up those sewing machines and get to work.  You can click the badge below to pop over to the shop to start your wish list.

Fancy Folds

Hello!  It is time for another challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner.  This week the mission we have for you, should you choose to accept it, is Fancy Folds.  Create a project that has more than one fold.  There are so many fancy folds out there to choose from, you should be able to find one that is a perfect match for your style.

I used Panda Balloon from Star Stampz for my project this week.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using my Silhouette Cameo.  The fold I used is a double cascade card.  I sort of feel like I cheated, though, because I used a Silhouette cut file to create this.  I bought it ages ago, and it was so simple to create the base.  The actual file is to create a card for the 4th of July, so I just used the base, panels, center tab and the fireworks from the original cut file.  The center tab is cut from acetate so it looks like the sentiment is floating.

All of the embellishments are also Silhouette cut files.  You can find the balloons here and the sentiment is actually a cupcake wrapper cut file.  I just modified the files to fit my needs.

We have two amazing sponsors this week.  I wish I could enter just so I could win the prize!!  Click on each badge below to pop over to each drool worthy shop!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!  It is my turn to provide a little inspiration on the MoonFlower Digital Stamps blog.  Since I was posting on Valentine's Day, I chose The Longing Princess for my project.

The Longing Princess was part of the Fairy Tale line Andreia drew a little while back.  She is based on the princess from the Sinbad stories.  I was really excited to find a button with a ship on it in my stash!  How perfect!  I colored her with Copic markers and cut her out using my Silhouette Cameo.  The sentiment is also a Silhouette cut file, but I filled it and printed it instead.

Did you know that MoonFlower Digital Stamps has a Facebook group?  It is filled with inspiration and a monthly challenge,  You could win stamps to add to your stash just for coloring and playing along.  Use the monthly freebie in the newsletter to play!  Just sign up on the website and confirm your subscription.

A Spell

Welcome back!  It is time for another challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner.  This week the theme is Sweetheart.  You must use hearts on your project.

When I started working with Apple Queen from MoonFlower Digital Stamps, I just wasn't sure how I was going to work hearts into the project.  Then from out of the blue, this sentiment hit me!  I knew it was just perfect.  Apple Queen is colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  Andreia, the artist behind MoonFlower Digital Stamps, did a recent cosplay of the Evil Queen from Once Upon a Time.  So I used the purple and black color scheme for this card. =)

More Valentines!

It is time for a new challenge at the Corrosive Challenge.  February is the month for love, so our theme is Love Love Love.  Show us the love!

I used Valentine's Girl from Aurora Wings for my project for you.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  The frame she is on was also cut on the cameo.  It was cut from printable glitter paper that has some gorgeous sparkle to it.  I found the paper on clearance after Christmas, so had to get a couple of pads of course!

For my project, I used Love Is by All Dressed Up Stamps.  This cute little couple was colored with Copics and cut out using my Silhouette Cameo.  The background is a Silhouette cut file and so is the sentiment.  I cut additional layers for the sentiment so that it has some dimension and thickness.

Thinking of You

Hello everyone!  Welcome back to another challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner.  This week our challenge theme is Love Is in the Air.  Valentine's Day is on the way and we want to see your projects with a little love.

I used Analiese by Nikki Burnette and colored her with Copics.  She was cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  All of the papers on this card are from The Paper Temptress.  She has so many amazing papers.  If you are a paper hoarder collector like I am, you need to pop over to her website.  I used a piece of Cryogen White for the base card.  I would normally save this for coloring, but it was too small to fit through my printer.  The shimmer of the Cryogen White makes the perfect background for the Laser Silver Lustre background paper.  I was lucky enough to attend the Kit and Clowder craft retreat in Orlando and received a goody bag of papers from The Paper Temptress.  The Laser Silver Lustre paper was in there!  The red is a scrap of Red Pepper Thick Columns that I had left from previous projects.

We have three wonderful sponsors for you this week.  Click the badges to pop over to each shop to see what they have to offer.
