Winter Blessings

It is time for our team post over at the Rubbernecker blog.  I had this idea for a card rolling around in my head for a while, so I thought this was a good time to try it out.

I embossed Flourish Tree with Shabby White Frantage and heat set it.  I would have preferred just white embossing powder, but wouldn't you know I didn't have any handy when it came time to make this card?!  What I thought was white was actually clear!  I scattered some gems in dark blue, light blue and clear around on the branches for an icy look.  The sentiment is a Silhouette cut file that I filled and printed.

If you haven't been already, pop over to the blog and check out the rest of the team projects.  They are fabulous!

BFF

Wow!  I can't believe it is time for another Rubbernecker post!  The time just flies by!  I have a sweet winter card for you, although I am not ready for winter yet!

This is Zac and his sweet little friends.  He was colored using Copic markers and I added clear Wink of Stella to his bucket hat.  And even though I am not ready for winter, I love his sweet little snowman face. Don't forget to check out the rest of the posts from this week so you can see all of the gorgeous projects my teamies made.

What a Witch!

Remember when I said I was done with Halloween posts?!  I forgot I had one more Halloween project to share.  This is Witch's Brew from MoonFlower Stamps.  She was such a fun challenge!  I sat and stared at those books for ages just trying to decide what color to use.  I am really happy with the way they turned out in the end.

I colored the image using Copic markers and added touches of silver Wink of Stella to the star on her hat, the decoration on her dress, and the lock on the box.  I had a pot of gold button that I altered so that it was a cauldron and the perfect embellishment for this image!

If you haven't heard, we are having a design team call.  You can check out this post for all of the details.  If you love MoonFlower stamps, then this is your chance to be a part of this wonderful team! You only have until November 12th, so don't wait!

Hello everyone!  It's challenge time at the Crafty Gals Corner and this week is anything goes.  I decided to stick with the Halloween theme for one more project.

This is Halloween Girl from Lemon Shortbread.  She and her sweet kitty are all ready for Halloween!  She was colored with Copic markers and I had to cut her out by hand because of a mishap with the sheet she was on!  I did miss using the Silhouette, but it all worked out in the end.

We have some fabulous sponsors for you this week.  Click the badges below to go shopping.

Hugs!

This week at the Creative Knockouts we have Something to Say!  Use a sentiment on your project to play along with us this week.

My project this week uses Kitty from A Day for Daisies.  I colored her with Copic markers and used the Silhouette to cut her out.  A co-worker actually asked me to make a card for her to send to a someone, and I knew this image was perfect for her.  I kept it pretty flat for mailing and took care of two items on my crafty list at once!

Our sponsor this week is, of course, A Day for Daisies.  You can click the badge below and find so many adorable images, including a boy version of the image I used on this card.  You also have the chance to win a $12 gift certificate.

Eek!

It's Friday!  Woo hoo!  I love Fridays!  Not only do I get to wear jeans to work, but since it is the third Friday that means there is a new release at Sami Stamps!  You are going to love these!

Aren't they just the cutest spooks you ever saw?!  They are available now so run on over and snap them up!  Halloween is just around the corner and these are perfect for your Halloween projects.

I used Patchwork Zombie for my project.  I thought he should be truly patchwork, so I paper pieced him using different patterned papers.  I used some Halloween colors but also threw in the sweet floral just to keep him super adorable!  I did color the hat, eyes, and flower with Copic markers.  I went over his stitches with a black Spica pen so he has a little glitter. =) I also used Copic markers to...umm..."antique" my flower.  It started life as a plain cream colored rose bud.  The sentiment is from the Qwick Qwips set from Paper Smooches.

There is still time to join us for the Texture challenge over on the blog.  Just remember to use a Sami Stamps image if you join us.  There are so many wonderful images to choose from!  The winner receives a $12 gift certificate for the shop and second place gets $8!

If you are on Facebook, you should stop by the Sami Stamps group.  It is a fun place to share everything Sami Stamps!  We would love to see your projects!  Hope to see you there.

Oh So Witchy!

It is challenge time at the Crafty Gals Corner and the theme this week is Be Fa-BOO-lous!  Have you noticed a theme to my recent projects?  It is been a little witchy here on the blog and I have another one for you today.

This is Incantation from The Paper Shelter.  The background paper actually comes with the image.  You get so much when you purchase a digit from The Paper Shelter!  You get black and white and colored images, a background paper, and a composite with the background paper and a colored image!  So much good stuff!  This little witch was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette.  I colored a wooden word from Freckled Fawn with my black Copic marker and then went over it with my silver Wink of Stella pen.  It has so much shimmer in real life!

You have a chance to win prizes from some fa-BOO-lous sponsors too!  We have three of them for you this week!  Score!!  Click the badges to pop over and have a ramble through each shop.

Feeling Witchy!

It is time for another challenge at Crafty Sentiments Designs.  This week is anything goes, so let's see your projects!

This is my project using Witch's Broom.  You can find her in the shop along with many other cute Halloween designs.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut by hand.  The paper is a digital design from Fancy Pants Oct 31 collection which you can find on Snap Click Supply.  Gotta love One Buck Wednesday!!  The sentiment is from Rubbernecker Stamps.  I have had the Spellbinders Witches' Brew die set for so long and never opened it, until I made this card!  I thought the hat was the perfect embellishment with this paper!

We make it easy to play along.  You don't have to use a Crafty Sentiments stamp, but if you do, you have a chance to win extra Crafty Sentiments images!

I hope you will join us!

Believe!

It is our team day on the Rubbernecker Blog.  I created this card using one of the new release stamps, Santa with Bell.  He was colored using Copic markers.

The sentiment is also from the new release and can be found here.  The stars are actually left over pieces from my Spellbinders Star Circles die.  I always keep them so I can use them later. =)  Pop over and take a look at all of the wonderful creations on the blog.

Warm Wishes

Hello everyone!  It is my turn on the Rubbernecker Blog today and I am so excited about the recent new releases!  They are so awesome!

This adorable little snowman made me smile the minute I saw him!  He is Snowman with Arms and can be found in the shop.  He was colored with Copic markers.  I wanted to keep this more of a CAS card so he could shine.  I used a cloud die to make the piles of snow and doodled a stitched border.  The sentiment is a Silhouette file and was printed using the Silhouette software.

Check back in on Sunday for the team post because I have seen the gorgeous projects my teamies have come up with and you won't want to miss them!

Eek! A Vampire!

Hello everyone!  It is my turn to provide a bit of MoonFlower inspiration.  I am in Halloween mode and just can't get enough!  I love making Halloween cards, but never send any!  Maybe I will just decorate my crafty space with them!

I colored Gina Vampire with Copics using a light grey scale for her skin.  She is undead, after all!  She has silver Wink of Stella on her belt and earrings.  I cut her out using the Silhouette.  The sentiment is also a Silhouette cut file that was printed using the software.

You can find Gina Vampire in the shop along with so many other wonderful images.  Why not pop in and take a look?

Bewitching!

Hello everyone!  It is challenge time again at Creative Knockouts and it is anything goes this week.  So you are free to create whatever you choose and join in.  Easy Peasy!

This bewitching lady is Esme from Nikki Burnette.  I love to create cards with a Halloween theme!  She needs the perfect sentiment though.  I will have to think on it!  She was colored with Copics and I cut her out with a little help from my best chum the Silhouette Cameo.  Not sure what I would do without that thing!

Nikki Burnette is our sponsor this week and you have a chance to win three images of your choice.  There are so many fabulous images to choose from.  Click the badge to pop over to the shop and see what I mean.

CASE It!

This week at the Crafty Gals Corner, we have a fun challenge theme!  Go out and find a card that inspires you and CASE it!  Don't know what it means to CASE a card?  CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything.  You use a card someone made and create a card inspired by it, changing it to fit your style and personality.  Of course, sharing the credit for the card you used as inspiration.

So anyway...here is the card I chose for my inspiration.

This adorable card was created by Therese Calvird.  The problem with finding an image online is you can't always link back to the exact post.  I have linked to her blog, though and you can see more of her darling cards there.  I am not sure why I chose this card.  I don't usually do CAS cards, but I loved the sweet colors and the pearls.

Now on to my card!

I used Cupcake Celebration from Kenny K for my card.  The image was colored with Copics and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  It was very hard for me to keep it CAS, but I did my best.  I put my own twist on it as well like the ribbon...there always has to be ribbon!  If I don't use it, my hubby will never let me hoard buy more!

On to our fabulous sponsors!  We have two for you this week.  Click the badges to pop over and check out everything in each shop.
