A Little Deer

It is my turn to inspire everyone on the MoonFlower Digital Stamps blog using Dulphina Miss Reindeer.

I colored Dulphina Miss Reindeer using Copic markers and cut her out using my Silhouette Cameo.  I decided to make a side step card for this project.  They are so much fun to embellish.  The two snowflakes in the back were cut using a Cricut cartridge.  They were in my scrap box, though, so I have no idea what the name of the cartridge is!  The other snowflake was cut using a Spellbinders die.  The sentiment came from blog candy that I won ages ago from Enfys at Going Buggy.  It came from Craftwork Cards' Warren collection.  Unfortunately, it has been discontinued, but you may be able to find it in some corner of the internet.

If you haven't done so already, you need to sign up for the newsletter.  You get a fabulous new freebie every month just for being a subscriber.  You can sign up on the website by scrolling all the way to the bottom and filling out the form.  Be sure to confirm your subscription.  As soon as you do, you have access to the current month's freebie.

Giving Thanks

It's Thursday so that must mean it is time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts.  The theme this week is Festive Fun.  Simple and so much fun.

I have used Butterfly Harvest from A Day for Daisies.  I don't usually think of butterflies when I think of Thanksgiving, but I loved this stamp!  I colored the stamp with Copics.  The card base was cut using a Silhouette cut file.  I just welded two shapes together to make the fold.  I also removed the stitches from the back piece. =P

I decided I wanted to add the small tag and I really wanted the tag to say "thankful".  With all of the stamps I own, do you think I had a small thankful stamp?!  Of course not!  But obviously I did stamp thankful on that tag, so how did I do it?!  The word "thankful" came from a larger stamp from a Stampin' Up! stamp set called Lots of Thanks.  It was the perfect size and the perfect font.  I actually cut the word from the rest of the phrase and stamped it by itself.  I can easily pop the word back into the rest of the stamp.  I did a test run and you can't tell the difference.  I got the idea from a tutorial I saw ages ago, but never tried it until now.  I will say I was holding my breath until I tested the stamp.  I love being able to make my stamps even more versatile!

Our sponsor this week is A Day for Daisies.  You could win a $12 gift certificate for the shop just for playing along.  Click the badge below to head over to the shop and have a look around.

Enjoy the Ride

Hello everyone.  Welcome back for another challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner.  This week we challenge you to use scraps!  I know I have a ton of scraps and I try to use them before I cut a new sheet of paper.  With all of the scraps I have, I will never cut a new sheet!

This is Enjoy the Ride from Graciellie Design.  Both the stamp and the sentiment were printed on Cryogen White.  I colored the bike with Copics and cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo.

All of the papers used on this card are from Paper Temptress.  Such gorgeous papers!  All of these scraps except for the red came from the previous project I did using Paper Temptress papers. The Red Pepper Epic Thick Columns was in a sample pack I received while at a craft retreat over the summer.  Also, the only paper that was not a scrap was the black base made from the Epic Black Thick Columns.   That sample pack started my love of Paper Temptress papers!  So much gorgeousness in one little bag!  The gold die cut is the Antique Gold Mica/Metallic in text weight.  The smaller die was cut from the Candido Incandescent in card stock weight.  The border was punched from Opal in card stock weight.  Both Candido and Opal have a lovely golden sheen to them.  It is hard to capture it in a photo, but in real life they are amazing!  I love that you can get the paper in various weights depending on what you will use it for. The layer under the sentiment is a scrap of Grandpa's Wallpaper overlay.  It is a gold pattern printed on acetate.  So gorgeous!  I wanted the roses to have a golden sheen to them as well, so I swiped my Wink of Stella gold pen over them.  It gave them the perfect touch.

I could go on all day about the papers from Paper Temptress!  But I should give you the rest of the details about the challenge.  We have four wonderful sponsors this week!  Click the badge to head over to the shop and feast your eyes on all of the loveliness!

Spring Has Sprung?!

Hello everyone.  I am bringing you some MoonFlower Digital Stamps inspiration today.  I decided to use Elf Maiden for this project, and when I looked at her, these were the colors I saw.  I know it isn't spring, but you have to go with the mojo or risk losing it all together!!

I colored Elf Maiden using Copic markers.  I cut her out using the Silhouette Cameo and a file I made from my Spellbinders Label 4 set.  I usually print several stamps on one sheet and having a digital file of the labels set means I don't have to cut the sheet apart to cut out the image I am using.  That allows me to go back and cut the others using the Silhouette as well.

Elf Maiden was one of the gorgeous newsletter freebies you can receive each month just by signing up for the newsletter on the website.  You can find her in the shop now.  If you would like to receive a gorgeous MoonFlower Digital Stamp each month, just pop over to the website and enter your email address in the form.  Be sure to confirm your subscription or you will not actually be signed up for the newsletter.

You can use your freebie to participate in the monthly challenge we have in the MoonFlower Digital Stamps group on Facebook.  You could win your choice of a stamp for free!

I hope you will join us in the group and show us your lovely creations.

Birthday Balloons

This week at Creative Knockouts our challenge theme is Something to Say.  Your project must have a sentiment on it.

I used Chloe's Heart Balloons from Imagine That!  It was colored with Copics and cut out using my Silhouette Cameo.  The stamp comes with several sentiments you can use.   I never seem to have enough birthday cards, so I chose the one that could be used for a birthday. I think you could use it for any special celebration, though.  Since I haven't done one in a while, I used a side step card.  It gave me lots of space for embellishments!  You can find the tutorial here or a template here.

Our sponsor is Imagine That! and you have the chance to win a $10 gift certificate.  Click the badge below to check out the shop.

Thankful for You

It is time for another challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.  This weeks's theme is Thankful.  Your project can be anything you are thankful for.

I used Love Is from All Dressed Up for my card.  I colored the image with Copics and cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo.  I love using the Cameo for the out of the box technique.  The background paper is digital and is from the  Through the Year collection from Echo Park. You can find digital collections from Basic Grey, Echo Park, Carta Bella and more on Snap Click Supply.  I love having them digitally because I don't have to worry about my favorites getting discontinued!

Autumn Colors

It's time for another challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner this week.  We have an autumn color inspiration for you.  Use this color board for your project this week.

I used Bookworm from Flat Friends Boutique and colored her with Copics.  The sentiment says "wish" and was created using my Dymo label maker.  Just cut a strip of paper instead of the adhesive labels.  It has great dimension in real life, but doesn't photo very well.  The tag was created using a Stampin' Up! Extra Large Decorative Label punch.  You punch out the label and place it back into the punch.  Then just line up the end of the label as large as you would like your tag and punch again.  It creates the cutest little tag.

We have Flat Friend Boutique sponsoring us this week.  You can click the badge below to pop over to the shop.

The prize will be announced with the winners.
