Say Cheese

 This week at Creative Knockouts, our challenge is Birthday Greetings.

I used Birthday Cheese from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps for my project.  While I was working on it, I had the idea to make the picture into a shaker element.  It seemed like a good idea at the time, but it took me four tries to get it right!  When making a shaker, be sure your frame is pointing the correct direction as you are gluing on the acetate and foam!

Winter Wishes

 This week at Creative Knockouts our challenge is Anything Goes.

This adorable image is Huddle from SheepSki Designs.  I decided to try my hand at making a slimline card since it is the newest trend  I thought this group of penguins would be the perfect image for my first try.  I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I used a little silver Wink of Stella on the sunglasses.  The background paper is from Echo Park Winter Wishes that is available digitally on Snap Click Supply.  My favorite part of this card is the sentiment.  It was made using a manual Dymo label maker.  You know the ones with the dial and the squeeze handle?  It had the exact look I wanted!  If you have one laying around but don't have any tape, you can also use it to emboss the letters on paper.  Just cut a strip the right size and feed it into the label maker!

Trick or Treat

 This month at Crafty Gals Corner, use Halloween colors on your project.

I used Kawaii Halloween Pal Witchelly from Stamper's Delights on my project.  She comes with the broom, cauldron and sentiment as well.  The bubbles in the cauldron got some clear Wink of Stella and the broom got some gold.  I used the stars from the die as an added embellishment to finish of this project.

 This week at Creative Knockouts, the challenge is Wings & Things or Furry Friends.  What will you choose?

This is Air Fairy from our sponsor Fabrika Fantasy.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  Her wings have clear Wink of Stella because a fairy's wings should definitely sparkle!  I cut some clouds from some glitter cardstock and the die from some shimmer paper to add tons of sparkle and shine.

For my project I used Gigi Flap Dancer from MoonFlower Designs.  She was colored with Copic Markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo. Her jewelry was colored with gold Wink of Stella to give some great sparkle and shine.  The background paper is foiled, but it is so hard to capture in a picture.

Sparkle and Shine

 This week at Creative Knockouts our challenge is make your card sparkle and shine.

I used Lady Sierra from Star Stampz for my project.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I used a product that was new to me from Queen & Co for the gold foiled pieces.  It is called Fun Foil and it only requires adhesive to add the foil to a surface.  No heat, no toner...just adhesive.  Just make sure that you put the correct side on the adhesive...not that I am speaking from experience or anything. =P  I added clear Wink of Stella to her head piece, cape, and dress embellishments.  You can't see it in the picture, but it all has a great glittery sheen.

Snow Fun

This month at Crafty Gals Corner, our challenge is Snow Much Fun!  We want to see your winter fun.  We don't get any snow where I live, which is fine with me!  Winter stamps and images are about as close as I want to get!  We lived in the snow and cold for a long time.  I really don't enjoy it.

I used Having Fun from Crafty Sentiments Designs for my project.  It was colored with Copic markers and some silver Wink of Stella on the bucket.  The word "snow" was die cut from glitter paper and is a bit textured like snow!

 Welcome back to Creative Knockouts.  Our challenge this week is to finish the inside.  I have to admit, I rarely do.  Most times I don't have a recipient in mind, so I finish the inside once I am ready to give the card.

I used Tyson and Topsy from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps for my project.  These guys were colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  A little silver Wink of Stella on the collar studs adds a little shimmer.  I tried to make the sweet kitty look like an orange tabby.  Not too terrible I guess!

My favorite way to finish the inside is some matching paper and embellishments from the front.  And yes...I know...I realized all too late that the second "F" on the front is forever.  I will probably make an adjustment and add a paw print asterisk to the front and "best friends fur-ever" as the sentiment inside.

This is Spring Chick from Fabrika Fantasy.  He was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  He has silver Wink of Stella on his tricycle and clear on his goggles.  As I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with this card, I saw a paper pad from One Canoe Two that I recently purchased.  It is called Saturday Afternoon and I thought this paper was just perfect for this image!  A quick sentiment from Paper Smooches and it was done!
