Epstein

Hello!  It is my turn over on the Rubbernecker Blog and I have another one of the new owls to share with you!

This sweet guy is Epstein.  He is available in unmounted red rubber.  I colored him with Copic markers.  I usually have no idea what direction I am going to go with a card until I actually start making it.  I found this scrap of paper in my basket and this card took off from there.  I pulled out my Nested Oval X Stitch dies and created the mats.  Then I cut out the stamp using the Nested Oval Small Stitch dies.  I wanted to carry the same design to the sentiment I stamped using the Best Friends Etc stamp set.  I didn't have a die that fit the bill, so I pulled out the Nested Rectangle X Stitch dies and the Nested Rectangle Small Stitch dies.  I used a stitched rectangle that was large enough that the top edge did not cut at the same time as the lower edge.  I cut the bottom edge of the sentiment and then moved it to cut the top edge.  I did the same thing with the panel behind it using the rectangle X stitch die.  I love when I can figure out a way to get some extra mileage from my dies.

If you are on Facebook, you should come join us in the new group for Rubbernecker Stamps fans.  You can share your projects, join in the challenge. and just discuss everything Rubbernecker.  We would love to see you there.

Splish Splash

Welcome back to the Creative Knockouts challenge.  This week is for the girls.

This sweet mermaid is Sylvie Mermaid and you can find her in the Scrap n' Dipity shop.  I paired her with a paper from Bo Bunny's Barefoot & Bliss collection which you can find digitally on Snap Click Supply.  The paper is doing all of the work on this card so I just added some sea themed embellishments and called it done!

You have a chance to win 3 images from the shop.  Click the badge below to take a look.

A Hug for You!

How time flies!  I can't believe it is my turn over on the Rubbernecker blog already!  I have a little inspiration for you using one of the newest stamps in the shop.

This is Kylah.  She and her best bud were colored with Copic markers.  I didn't have a sentiment that had anything to do with a hug, so I created my own!  I took the "Coffee is a hug in a mug" sentiment from the Coffee set and covered the part I didn't want with transparent tape.  I inked up the stamp and removed the tape then stamped it.  I did the same thing with the "Thanks for everything!" and "For all you do!" from the Best Friends Etc set.  The great thing about the clear stamps is you can see exactly where you are going to stamp them.  I also used the Rounded Corner Rectangle w/pierce dies to cut out the image.

Have you heard that Rubbernecker Stamps has a new Facebook group?!  It is a fun place for you to share your projects and get inspired by others.  There will be challenges as well!  If you are on Facebook, we would love to meet you.

Spellbound

This week at Creative Knockouts, your challenge is anything goes.  We want to see whatever you can come up with this week!

This is Spells for Beginners from Dr. Digi.  I just love this wizard character!  There are a couple of them in the shop.  You should go check it out.  I colored him with Copic markers and cut him out using the Silhouette cameo.  He has gold Wink of Stella on his book corners and lock and clear on the orb of his staff.  A little texture from some twine and embossing makes for a great contrast to the text patterned paper.  The stars were the negatives from the Rubbernecker Stamps stars die I used on another project.  They were covered with some clear Wink of Stella to give them a bit of sparkle.

You have a chance to win two images from our sponsor Dr. Digi.  Just link up your project before the challenge ends to play along.  You can click the badge below to pop over and have a look in the shop.

Celebrate

This week at Crafty Sentiments the theme is to use gems or pearls.  We don't have a new release for you this week.  The new release will happen in two weeks.

This is Ice Cream Day. She was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  She was so much fun to color!  I was so happy when I found this paper in my scrap basket.  I knew it was there, but wasn't sure if I would be able to find it!

If you play along you could win Crafty Sentiments prizes.  You don't have to use Crafty Sentiments, but if you do you can win more.

Cute Zebra

Hello Fabrika Fantasy Fans!  Welcome back to the new challenge.  This month the theme is animals.  There are lots to choose from in the shop.  I chose Cute Zebra 3 for my project.

I colored this sweet zebra with Copics and cut it out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I am still building my birthday card stash so I have more for my co-workers and this guy really fit the bill!  I don't have nearly as many cards for my male co-workers, so I am trying hard to get some stashed away.

You have a chance to win great prizes from Fabrika Fantasy for playing along.  You don't have to use a Fabrika Fantasy image, but if you do you have a chance to win even more!
