Happy Blogiversary!

Hello!  Welcome to the next stop on the Crafty Gals Corner blogiversary blog hop!  You should have come here from Lisa's blog.  I am sure she had some wonderful inspiration for you.  If you didn't get here from Lisa's blog, head over the Crafty Gals Corner so you can start at the beginning and see all of the gorgeous projects my teamies have whipped up for you.  We have another anything goes challenge, so very easy to play along again this week.

For my project I used Aurora - The Best Gift Ever from The East Wind.  Aurora and her kitty were colored with Copic markers.  The background paper is a gorgeous freebie from the Winter Frost pack that was available in the Art by Miran Facebook group.  Tracy Wray makes some beautiful papers and they offer them for free!

The heart snowflake is a Silhouette cut file.  I wanted something wintery and this snowflake (technically a doily =P) was the perfect complement for this image.

As you probably already know, we are celebrating the one-year blogiversary of the Crafty Gals corner, so to celebrate we have EIGHT (yes you read that right, 8!) wonderful sponsors who have agreed to help us celebrate. Winter Blessings

It is my turn to provide a little inspiration on the MoonFlower blog using Snowflake Fairy.  I wanted to share some additional details about this project as well.

I colored Snowflake Fairy using Copic markers and cut her out using my Silhouette Cameo.  I also cut the matching mat using the Cameo.  I created the sentiment using this cut file and the Silhouette Studio software.  I had seen a tutorial on how to use the printable pattern files to fill a cut.  I used a snowflake printable pattern to fill the word winter and changed the color of the cut line to black.  I was able to use print and cut to get the look I wanted.  It was very exciting!!  The background is also a Silhouette cut file.

Don't forget to subscribe to the MoonFlower emails if you haven't already.  You will receive a new freebie each month before the image is available in the store.  Plus you will receive a coupon code for the shop.  Just pop over to the website and enter your email in the form at the bottom of the page.  Once you confirm your email, you will receive the current freebie.

We have a Facebook group where you can show off your MoonFlower Digital Stamps projects and participate in our challenge.  If you are on Facebook, we would love to see you there!

Our theme this week at Creative Knockouts is Christmas Delight.  As long as your project has something to do with Christmas, you can play along.

This week I used Praying Portrait from Sassy Studio Designs.  She was colored with Copics and cut out using my Silhouette Cameo.  I think this image could be used for so many occasions.  I left the sentiment off because I couldn't decide on "Peace on Earth" or "Christmas Blessings".  Which do you think would be a better sentiment?

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs.  They have some wonderful images, including some awesome Star Wars inspired digis!  Pop over to the shop by clicking the badge below to check it out.

I tied the double bow by wrapping it around my fingers!  You can also use a fork if you do not have a tool to help you tie bows.

Winter Wishes

Hello everyone!  Welcome back to another challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner.  This week is another anything goes challenge as all of the challenges this month are anything goes.  Keeps it simple during these hectic holidays.

I used Bear in Scarf from Eureka stamps for this card.  He was colored with Copic markers.  If digital stamps are not your thing, he also comes in rubber. =)  I made a little scene for him using some landscape dies and a digital paper scrap.  The paper is from Nitwit Collections' Winter Wishes bundle.  It is one of my favorite winter papers.  You might have noticed it on a few other projects. =)  The sentiment was cut using my Silhouette Cameo.  I love that you can cut any font on your computer.  This is the font Honey Script and I love it because it looks a lot like the Tim Holtz word dies. Some of the letters don't connect though, so it was a little fiddly to lay down because of the size.

I popped up the two hills in the front using fun foam.  It is the perfect thickness and makes it easier to pop up large pieces like the hills.

Our sponsor is Eureka Stamps, and you have the chance to win three digital images from the shop.  Click the badge below to check them out.

I hope you can take the time out of your holiday schedule to come play with us!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Hello MoonFlower fans!  I have a sparkly project for you today using Gina Christmas Elf.

I colored Gina Christmas Elf with Copics and cut her out using my Silhouette Cameo.  I can't tell you how happy I am to have that machine!  I use it all the time and it has made cutting out my digital stamps so much easier.  From fussy cutting to the out of the box technique...I am in heaven!

As I was digging through my scrap stash, I saw this paper and knew it was perfect for this card.  I am not a fan of the traditional red and green for Christmas, but I do love red and aqua!  The gingerbread man brads I bought on clearance were the perfect embellishment to go with this paper.

The curlicue was made from a piece of craft wire that I had left over from another project.  It is a pretty heavy gauge and was a little tough to twist, but I got there in the end!  The die was cut from a piece of red glitter card stock.  Unfortunately, I am still finding red glitter in places I shouldn't have glitter!  Ah well...guess I am looking super festive. =)

You can find Gina Christmas Elf in the shop.  While you are there, have a look at all of the other amazing digi stamps Andreia has created.  So beautifully detailed!  You can get one stamp for free each month just by signing up for the newsletter.  Pop over to the website and enter your email address in the form at the bottom of the page.  Watch for an email confirming your subscription.  If you don't click that link, you won't be subscribed and won't receive MoonFlower goodies each month.  You can still get Gigi Poinsettia for free if you subscribe before December 15th.

Isn't she adorable?!

Once you get your monthly freebie, come join us in the MoonFlower Digital Stamps group on Facebook.  You can share your project and see lots of other lovely projects that are shared.  Andreia has even been know to do a giveaway or two on occasion!

Winter Wonderland

Welcome back to another challenge at the Creative Knockouts.  This week the theme is Winter Wonderland.

I used Christmas Post from All Dressed Up colored with Copics for my card.  This is the only way I want to see snowflakes, to be honest!  The snowflake paper is by Nitwit Collections and came from the gorgeous Winter Wishes bundle.  This is one of my favorite papers to use for winter themed cards.  The best part is it's digital so I can never use it up!!  The blue and silver papers have a metallic shimmer that I think makes for a great wintery effect.  The stamp was cut out using my Silhouette Cameo.  The garland, icicles and notebook page are all cut files as well.  I have had the snowflakes around the sentiment for ages.  I made a bunch of them for Christmas cards one year.  Vellum by itself was too transparent, so I finally came up with these.  I made them by crumpling a piece of aluminum foil and flattening it out again.  Then I ran a piece of card stock vellum through my Xyron and stuck it to the foil.  I ran the entire piece through the Xyron to make it self-adhesive and punched the snowflakes from the stack.  The foil makes the vellum opaque, and the wrinkles give a bit of a frosty effect.  The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.  I think it is from their Warren collection, but it is retired now.  I won a package of goodies from Enfys at Going Buggy, and this sentiment was in that package.

Our sponsor this week is All Dressed Up and you have the chance to win two stamps of your choice.  There are some wonderful stamps in the shop, so start your list now! Click the badge below to pop over to the shop.

Yuletide

Hello everyone!  It is Wednesday, so that must mean it is time for a new challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner!  These weeks are flying by and I am not ready for Christmas yet!  I best get a move on.  We have made it so easy for you this month.  Every challenge in December is anything goes!  Super easy to play along. =)

This week I used Amber Yule Maiden from Faery Ink and colored her with Copics.  I just love the vintage feel of this image!  I am not a fan of the traditional red and green, so I tend to gravitate toward the darker shades of these colors.  I think they are perfect for this stamp.  I cut the holly leaves using a Silhouette cut file to add to the embellishments.  I used clear Wink of Stella on the snowflakes and holly berries, but it is so hard to capture that sparkle in a picture!

Our sponsor this week is Faery Ink and you have the chance to win three images from the shop.  You better make your list now, because it will be so hard to narrow it down to three!  Click the badge below to pop over to the shop.

Birthday or Christmas?!

Welcome back for another challenge here at the Li'l Patch of Crafty Friends.  So glad you could join us!

I used Curious Gifts from Sami Stamps for my project.  The image was colored with Copic markers and cut out with my Silhouette Cameo.  As you can see, there is a spot for a sentiment on the card.  However, I have a problem!!  I can't decide if this card should be a Christmas card or a birthday card!  I have a sentiment for each, but can't decide which to use.  What do you think?  Which of the below sentiments is the purr-fect one to use. =P

These sentiments are from Craftwork Cards.  I won them in a giveaway on the Going Buggy blog.  The Christmas sentiment came from the Warren collection which has, unfortunately, been discontinued.  You can still find birthday sentiments on their site.

We have three wonderful sponsors for our challenge.  Click each of the badges below to head over to the shop and start your wish list.

This week I used Angel Portrait from Sassy Studio Designs.  I colored her with Copic markers and colored her halo using a gold Wink of Stella pen.  The sentiment was cut using my Silhouette Cameo and a cutting file from the Silhouette store.  The background paper is a freebie I found ages ago but there is no name on it.  I tried to find it again, but I didn't have any luck.

We have two wonderful sponsors this week.  Click the badges below to pop over to the store and check out all of the drool worthy products.
