A Little Contemplation

It is my turn to inspire everyone on the MoonFlower blog.  We all used Contemplation Princess for our projects.  It is so interesting to see how different each project is.   You can pop over and check out the rest of the team's projects.

What a wonderful image to work with!  I colored Contemplation Princess with Copic markers.  I kept the design pretty simple with just a few embellishments.  I used the Silhouette Cameo to create the "out of the box" technique.  I find it is so much easier than using dies!  The lower borders were cut using a landscape die set.  These can be used for so much more than just hills!!

If you love Contemplation Princess, you can find her in the shop.  She was last month's newsletter freebie.  Sign up for the MoonFlower Digital Stamps newsletter so you don't miss out on the next gorgeous freebie, Gypsy Flower.  You can find the form on the website to request the newsletter.  Scroll to the bottom of the page.  Make sure you confirm your subscription.  Once you do, you should be able to get Gypsy Flower.

Here is a little sneak peek of what she looks like!  Shhhh....don't tell!!

You can show off your creations in the MoonFlower Digital Stamps group on Facebook.  We have a monthly challenge and the prize is of course MoonFlower digital stamps!

I hope to see you join us!

Whoopsi Daisy Challenge has a Make It Girly theme for this month, so this princess will contemplate matters over at their challenge.

Cut It Up has an Old School challenge.  Since I have had the button, charm and pearl in my stash for what seems like forever, my princess is going to go visit the challenge and show them off (along with her die cuts).

Wags 'n Whiskers has a Frame It Out challenge, so the princess is going to contemplate her frame over there.

Snuggles

Wow!  So much has happened since last week!  I moved our daughter in to her dorm to start her senior year in college.  So crazy!  It is a 12-hour drive one way.  And we had furniture to move this year.  Up three flights of stairs of course!  I am pooped!  Luckily, I planned ahead and finished my project for this week's challenge over at the Crafty Gals Corner.  The theme this week is Lots of Layers and we are sponsored by Flat Friends Boutique.

I used Snuggles for my project this week.  I colored this adorable digi with Copic markers.  I created the mats by cutting a Spellbinders Curved Rectangle three times from different design paper. All of the patterned paper came from the My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose Mabel collection.  It is my favorite and I hoard every scrap!! Everything was matted with Chocolate Chip card stock from Stampin' Up! to make it pop.  I doodled the stitching with the matching marker.  The sentiment is from DeNami Design.

So, like I said, Flat Friends Boutique is our sponsor this week.  Click the badge below to hop over to the shop and take a look.

Inspiration Destination has an anything goes challenge so this little girl is going to go give some hugs over there.

Kraftin' Kimmie is having their anything goes Wonderful Wednesday challenge, so this little girl and her bear are going to go play over there.

Simon Says Stamp has an anything goes challenge.  My little Flat Friend is going to take her bear and give hugs all around.

Cards in Envy has a cute and cuddly challenge, so this little girl is going to snuggle her bear there.

She is going to visit Stamp and Create to hang out with the other girls in the One for the Girls challenge.

I hope I used enough layers to inspire you today!  I can't wait to see all of your layers!

Spring Blessings

It is crazy how quickly a week goes by when you have a regular way to mark the time!  I am of course referring to the new challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner challenge blog.  This week is the favorite theme of anything goes!  We know how you all love those!  We have a couple of wonderful sponsors so hop over and join us.

I used the Spring Blessings digital set from Graciellie for my project.  I know it is summer, but this is just the most gorgeous set!  You can use it for so many things.  You can color it red for a love you card or yellow for a thinking of you card, or even pink for friendship or gratitude.  (Why, yes...I did look it up to find out additional meanings!)  You get two butterflies already mirrored, the sentiment and the gorgeous rose.  I cut the card shape using Spellbinders Labels 20.  I thought it made for a really nice base for this image.  I used a little clear Wink of Stella on the butterfly wings to make them sparkle.  You can just see it in the picture if you get close enough! =P

Our fabulous sponsors this week are:

Graciellie Design
Prize of the Spring Blessings stamp set

and

STAMPlorations

Prize of a $10 gift certificate

With a theme of anything goes, I know we will have so many wonderful entries!  I can't wait to see yours.

Inspiration Destination has an Anything goes challenge, so the butterflies are going to flit over there and join in.

Try It On Tuesday has a garden of flowers growing at their Sending You Flowers challenge.  I am going to add my rose to the garden.

Fab 'n' Funky has a Things With Wings challenge so these butterflies are flying over there to join in.

Spring Faery

Today it is my turn to host the MoonFlower Blog and I created this project using Spring Faery.  She was originally a newsletter freebie right before I discovered MoonFlower Digital Stamps.  I was so disappointed because I thought she was gorgeous!  Lucky for me, the freebies end up in the shop when the next freebie comes out, so I was able to add her to my stamp collection. =)

She is colored using Copics and I thought a pink and green palette was perfect for a Spring Faery.  I made the hat pin with the pink bead on it.  These are so much fun to make so you can customize beads and colors!  If you love Spring Faery, you should join us in the MoonFlower Digital Stamps group on Facebook.  It is a great place to see some wonderful inspiration and we have a monthly challenge to participate in.  Plus you never know when you might get to see sneak peeks of what Andreia is working on. =)  If you are interested in receiving the monthly freebie, sign up for the newsletter on the website.  The email form is at the bottom of the page.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps has an Anything Goes challenge, so she is going to flit over and visit for a while.

This little faery heard that Cute Card Thursday has an anything goes challenge this week.  She is going to stop by and play along.

Spring Faery is proud of her pink and wants to go show it off at the In The Pink anything goes (with pink) challenge this week.

Love Is in the Air

Hello!  It is crazy to think that another week has gone by already!  But it has and that means it is time for the new challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner.  The theme this week is Any Holiday.  I know many people have started their Christmas cards, so this is a good challenge to participate in.  I haven't even started thinking about mine, so why start now!!  I chose to go with Valentine's Day.

These two cuties are from Star Stampz.  The image is Be My Valentine and was colored using Copics.  My Silhouette Cameo got a workout on this card.  The "love" sentiment and the frame are both cutting files.  I modified the cutting pattern of the frame to fit my project.  A few gems finished the card off.

Kraftin' Kimmie has an Anything Goes challenge for Wonderful Wednesday, so this couple is going to pop over there and share the love.

This couple is going to take a stroll to the Inspiration Destination to the Anything Goes challenge over there.

Digi Choosday is having a punches and/or dies challenge, so this cute little couple is going to stop by and show off their love.

We have two great sponsors for this week's challenge.  Click the badges to pop over and check out the shops.

A Birthday Leap

This week over at the Crafty Gals Corner, we are celebrating birthdays so we would love to see your birthday projects.  We are sponsored by The Paper Temptress, The East Wind, and Lacy Sunshine.  So many wonderful prizes up for grabs!!  I had so many wonderful papers from The Paper Temptress that I took a step leap outside of my comfort zone.  I always see the cards that have layers upon layers of gorgeousness and I thought that would be a good way to showcase the papers.  MAN!! It is a lot of work!!  I showed it to my loving hubby and he said "Wow...that's a lot of stuff."  Needless to say, he wasn't much help. =P

For my image, I used Aurora Gift from The East Wind.  I colored her using Copics and wanted to stay in a sort of monochromatic theme.  I colored the ribbon on the package with a gold Wink of Stella pen.  I also used it to accent the ribbons in her hair and the flowers on her dress.  All of the gorgeous papers are from The Paper Temptress.  The image was printed on Cryogen White card stock.  I have always wanted to give this paper a go.  It blends beautifully and has a subtle shimmer.  It adds so much to the image.  I used 100# Whip Cream Pop Tones card stock for the base.  It is a wonderful weight for a sturdy base.  The patterned layer is actually an acetate overlay.  The pattern I used was Grandpa's Wallpaper.  For the other layers I used Candido Incandescent, which has a wonderful gold iridescence and texture, and Opal in card stock weight which also has a wonderful gold shimmer.  The gold die cuts and rolled rose were made using Antique Gold Mica/Metallic in text weight.  Such a gorgeous gold color and shimmer!!  The little hearts were the scrap cuts from the heart border die.

Enough talk about the gorgeous papers!  (I could go on all day!  I may have a problem!!)  On to the sponsors and what you could win if you play in our challenge this week.  As always, click the badge to visit the sponsor website.

Lots of Bubbles

It is time for another challenge at the Li'l Patch of Crafty Friends.  As always it is anything goes so pop your projects in for a chance to win prizes from our wonderful sponsors!

This time around I used Bubble Fairy Queen from Faery Ink.  She is colored with Copics.  I sat looking at her for a really long time just trying to decide what to color her. I seem to struggle when images have a lot of detail because I want to make sure everything goes together well.  I decided that a bubble fairy queen should have the same colors as a bubble in the sunlight.  That had me reaching for a lot of colors in the 0000 and 000 range.  I don't use them often, so it was a chance to give them a bit of a workout.  I colored her wings and bodice with a Wink of Stella clear pen.  You can just see the sparkle if you look closely enough.  It is gorgeous.  She was also printed on a piece of Cryogen white paper.  It also has a subtle sparkle to it.  Perfect for a fairy queen.  I added Stampin' Up! crystal effects to the bubbles in the image to give them a raised shiny sheen.  The circle in the picture that looks pink, is actually a piece of iridescent cellophane attached to a piece of white card stock.  It looks more like a bubble in real life.  The large enamel dots are melted clear pony beads.  It smells terrible when you bake them, but what a cost savings!

We have three wonderful sponsors for this challenge: (click each badge to hop to their shop)

I am going to pop this fairy queen into the Wonderful Wendnesday challenge over at the Kraftin Kimmie Stamps challenge blog.

She is also going to float over to the All Sorts Challenge to use gems or pearls.

Suzy Bee's Challenge blog is Anything Goes with a twist of adding wings. So she and her dragon friend are going to fly on by and stop in to that challenge as well.

Since the Bubble Fairy Queen looks so lovely in her lavender, she is going to show off her lavender locks at the Alphabet Challenge this week.

Art by Miran always has an anything goes challenge, so the fairy queen told me she wanted to visit those beautiful ladies and have a chat.

I can't wait to see what you come up with, so come join us!
