Butterfly Princess

This week at the Crafty Gals Corner we have a challenge to use dies or punches.  I love to use dies, so I am so excited about this challenge!

This is Arielle Butterfly Princess Fae from Faery Ink.  I fell in love with her after I saw the way Amanda colored her for the shop.  I loved the color combo, but I wanted to try something new.  I used a coloring technique to make her winks look glittery.  I colored the image with Copic markers and then added the shiny glitter with a white gel pen.  The technique was from the Kit and Clowder class last month.  What do you think?!  I just got the border die in my August Spellbinders die kit of the month!  There were 4 gorgeous borders in the kit.  I know I will use them a lot!

Faery Ink is our sole sponsor this month and you have a chance to win three digital images from the shop.  You can click the badge below and check out all of the amazing new images Amanda has released recently!  Sign up for her newsletter while you are there.  Each month she has a One Day Fae and gives away one of her gorgeous images for 24 hours!

Back to School

It's that time of the year again.  The kiddos return to school.  My kids are grown now, and sometimes I miss shopping for school supplies and school clothes.  But then I see the chaos at the store, and I quickly get over it!

This week at Crafty Sentiments Designs the theme is anything goes so I decided to make a card with a back to school theme.

This stamp is Back to School.  I colored him using Copic markers and I fussy cut him then popped him up on a stitched oval die from Rubbernecker Stamps.  I kept it pretty simple, but I was so excited when I found these pencil buttons in my stash!

You have a chance to win some great prizes for playing along.  You don't have to use a Crafty Sentiments stamp or image, but if you do you can win even more!

I hope you decide to play along!

Friendship

This week for the Rubbernecker Stamps Sweet Sunday post, I decided to make a sweet friendship card.

I used Daisies and colored them with Copic markers.  I also used a bit of clear Wink of Stella on the circles blowing by.  The sentiment comes from the Create a Garden 3 set.

Come join us for our challenge.  You could win a gift certificate to spend in the shop.  You don't have to use Rubbernecker products to play along, but if you have them, we always love to see them.

Little Lulu

For my project today over at Rubbernecker Stamps, I decided to use Lulu and make a thank you card.  I love these cartoon kids, if you couldn't tell!

I colored Lulu with Copic markers and used one of the new Rubbernecker Stamps nesting die sets.  I have been dying for a set of stitched ovals and they had the perfect set!  I used the Best Friends Etc stamp set for the sentiment.

Come join in our challenge!  You have a chance to win a gift certificate for the shop for playing along.  You don't even have to use Rubbernecker Stamps products to play.  But we always love seeing them.

Beautiful Lilly

Hello MoonFlower fans!  I have some inspiration for you today as well as some news so I hope you are ready!

This is Lilly the Dancing Princess and you can find her in the shop now.  I colored her with Copic markers and cut her out using the Silhouette Cameo.  She is such a gorgeous digi from her amazing eyes and flowing hair to her beautiful layered gown.  She was a challenge to color and I enjoyed every minute of it.  She has gold Wink of Stella on her crown for some gorgeous sparkle as well as a sparkly die cut behind her.

The great news about this image is it is being used in a class at Kit and Clowder that will be offered for just one more day!  Moonflower sponsored the monthly class and if you sign up, you get a coupon code for 50% off of this image.  There is another gorgeous image for the pencils class (this is the markers) so why not sign up for both!  You get a little bit of a discount if you do.  I purchased the class because the class image has a gorgeous sequins layer to the gown.  I NEED to know how to do that!  Alyce breaks down all the techniques step by step so you don't need to be a pro to color this image.

If you take the class, we would love to see how your image turned out.  Pop over to the MoonFlower group on Facebook and show it off!

My line was Ribbon, the free space and pearls.  I used Jewel Baby Dragon from Wink Wink Ink for my project.

For my project, I chose to use I Love Butterflies.  I colored this sweet girl with Copic markers and cut her out by hand.  I added a few dots of white gel pen to the butterflies to give them a little bit of pattern and to tie them in with the polka dots on her hat.

You have a chance to win Crafty Sentiments Designs prizes for playing along.  The awesome news is if you use a Crafty Sentiments image or stamp, you can win even more!

Hang Ten

Welcome to the newest Rubbernecker Stamps Sweet Sunday post.  For my project, I decided to have a little summer fun.

This is Zeke and he is ready to go hang ten on his trusty surfboard.  I colored him with Copic markers and fussy cut him by hand.  The background paper is from the Carta Bella Beach Boardwalk collection which is available digitally at Snap Click Supply.

Finally!

I have admired Jeremiah Kentner digital stamps for a very long time.  However, I have never gotten around to actually adding any to my collection.  I see them and tell myself, "Self, you have got to get some of those!"  Then, I never seem to actually do it.  Lucky for me, Crafts and Me is our sponsor for this Li'l Patch of Crafty Friends challenge!  I finally got a chance to color this gorgeous digital stamp!

This is Spirals.  This was the first digital stamp of Jeremiah Kentner's that I ever saw.  He has so many gorgeous image.  Pop on over to Crafts and Me to check them all out.  I colored the image with Copic markers and used the Silhouette to cut it out.  I used a Spica pen on the spiral to give it some gorgeous sparkle.

Daisies

For my featured post on the Rubbernecker Stamps blog, I chose to create a birthday card. I never have enough on-hand, so it is always nice to create one when I can.

I chose Daisies as the focal point of my card. I thought they would make a sweet and simple birthday card.  I colored the stamp with COPIC markers. I traced an oval die around the image and cut it out by hand leaving the flowers outside of the oval shape. I used the Best Friends Etc set for the sentiment and stamped it directly on the white ribbon with StāzOn ink.  A few simple embellishments and it was finished.

Be sure to join in on our current challenge. You can win cash for the store. While you are on the blog, check to see if Rubbernecker Stamps will be at a show near you!

Smile!

This week at Creative Knockouts our challenge is Furry Friends.  I got to pick any digi from my collection to use, so I couldn't resist pulling out another Saturated Canary stamp.  I was so bummed when Krista closed her shop, but you can now find Krista Smith digital stamps in the Make It Crafty shop.  Pop on over and have a look.

I used this sweet image, Puppy Present, and colored it with Copics.  Knowing how I am, I knew someone would just be standing by to take the picture of these two future best friends meeting for the first time.  I thought a Polaroid frame would be the perfect die for these two.

This week, you have a chance to win a $25 prize pack from Close to My Heart Stamps sponsored by our very own Kelly.  So break out all of those cute critters and get to crafting!

Fairy Woodland

This week at Creative Knockouts our challenge to you is to finish the inside.  I never take the time to do the inside of my card when I do the card front.  Then when it is time to use it, I have to search for the paper that matches what I used on the front.  One day, I will give myself enough time to do both while I am working on my cards!

This is Magical Woodland from All Dressed Up.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  There is a bit of clear Wink of Stella on her wings because fairy wings should always sparkle!  Because I had four images on my sheet, I used the Silhouette to cut her out so I would have to cut the sheet apart.

I kept the inside simple and sentiment free because I never know for sure what I will be using the card for.  Some matching paper and embellishments and I called it finished! =)

All Dressed Up is our sole sponsor this week.  You can click the badge below to pop over and check out the shop.  Wendy always has a few freebies on offer and you can use them to play along in the challenges at the All Dressed Up challenge blog.  You have to use an All Dressed Up image to play, but freebies make it fun and easy.  Maybe you will win a few more!
