Falling Stars

It's that time!  Time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts!  Our challenge this week is lots of layers.  We have a great sponsor for you this week as well.

This is Wish Falling Star Lil Sweetie Mia from Ching-Chou Kuik, our sponsor for this week's challenge.  She was colored with Copics and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  In addition to layering the papers and dies, I layered up my embellishments too.  Definitely will need a special envelope for this card!  The sentiment is a Silhouette cut file that was filled and printed using the software.

The paper is a free digital download that I found ages ago on freedigitalscrapbooking.com.  I thought it was perfect for this image!  It is still free and you can find it here along with some other great freebies.

I crocheted the lace I used on this card myself.  I love how it turned out and I can't wait to make more!

This is Gina Caribe.  She is the newest release in the MoonFlower line up.  She was so much fun to color and she makes me want to hit the beach!  I have had the scrap of patterned paper forever and knew it was the perfect backdrop for Gina.  I matched my Copic colors to the paper too.

The flip flop card is a Silhouette cut file.  It came with all of the layers and I just had to size it for my use and cut away.  All of the designs are 50% off until May 10th too!  So bonus!

MoonFlower digi stamps is moving to Etsy so Andreia has posted a sale on the old website to say good bye.  All of the stamps are 50% for a few more days.  Pop in and add one or two (or more!) to your collection.

Oh Dang...

Hello!  It is time for another challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner.  This challenge is everyone's favorite, Anything Goes!  We have some great sponsors so why not join us this week.

For this project I used Beeper from The Stamping Boutique.  I also had some Freckled Fawn products I needed to use because they are sponsoring the challenge as well.  One of the products was a pack of word wood chips.  None of the words really fit this little guy.  Until I saw another stamp set I had sitting near my work space!  I paired the 'oh' from Freckled Fawn with the 'dang' from Paper Smooches. =)  I thought this would make a great 'sorry (enter reason here)' card. I also used Freckled Fawn washi tape to create my polka dot background as well as some enamel dots.

We have three lovely and generous sponsors this week.  Pop on over to each shop by clicking the respective badges below.

Morning, Sunshine!

It is time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts and our theme this week is a humorous card.  I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do, so I was scouring the Internet for a humorous quote.  It took me a while, but I found the perfect on.  I am not a morning person.  In fact, when I was younger, I am certain my family drew straws to decide who would wake me up.  While I am not quite that bad now, it is always a good idea to let me have a cup of coffee...or a few...before expecting me to start my day.  So that brings me to my project...

I found the quote on a website that has a ton of humorous cards.  It did not give credit to anyone, so hopefully it isn't a specific quote.  Then when I saw Float Yer Goat on the Doodle Pantry website, I knew I had the perfect pair.  The goat was colored with Copics and the balloons are paper pieced.  I created the sentiment in the Silhouette Studio software.  I cut it out using a banner from the Silhouette store.  I also cut the mat for the banner using the Silhouette Studio software.

You can click the badge below to pop over to the Doodle Pantry website for shopping.  They also have a blog with a challenge, so why don't you join in the fun with us and then pop over and join in the fun with them. =)

Faery Spring

Hello MoonFlower fans!  Thanks for stopping by today.  I have a little inspiration for you using Tumbelina Faery.  She is currently a freebie in the MoonFlower Facebook group.  If you haven't joined us there, you really should!

I colored Tumbelina Faery with Copic markers and used the Silhouette Cameo to cut her out.  She was just a bit too large for my smaller die, so the Cameo allowed me to use the out of the box technique for her wings.  I used clear Wink of Stella on her wings so they are super sparkly.  I created the card by folding my card stock in half and laying my die so that it stuck out over the folded edge.  It is a great way to use any die to create a shaped card.

While you can't find Tumbelina Faery in the shop, you can find all of Andreia's images on sale for 50% off!  She is moving to Etsy and she is having a moving sale on the My Digital Goods site.  Go fill your cart and then join on on Facebook to show off all of your lovely creations.

In the Pink has a pearls challenge (in pink of course!).  Tumbelina Faery is going to look at all of the pink in that challenge.

To Die or to Punch

Hello!  Since it is Wednesday, that means it is time for another challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner.  This week our challenge theme is Dies Cuts and/or Punches.  I tend to go for die cuts.  How about you?  Which is your favorite?

Our youngest daughter graduates from college next month.  I know it will be a crazy time, so I thought I would get her card done now.  I saw Graduation Girl from Kenny K and just knew she was perfect for the card.  I colored her with Copics and cut her out using the silhouette.  I have to admit to almost forgetting the die cut!  I had to take Graduation Girl off of the card to add it in.  I even used some of the negative pieces from the die cut as embellishments.

I also used some papers from The Paper Temptress on this card.  I wish I could have gotten a better photograph because they are so fabby in real life!  The base card is the Retro Silver Lustre and the black is the Laser Black Glossy Lustre. Both give such a fabulous impact because of their laser embossed pattern.  They have so much shimmer and shine in real life.

We have three wonderful sponsors for you this week.  You can pop over to each shop by clicking the badges below.  But don't say I didn't warn you.  Your wish list will fill up fast!

For the Girls

Hello!  If you are here you are ready for our next challenge over at the Corrosive Challenges.  The new challenge is Girls, Ladies, Women Only and we want to see your girly projects.

I used Spring Girl from Robyn's Fetish for my project.  She was colored with Copic Markers and I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut her out.  The polka dot paper was from a bag I received an order in.  I loved the paper the bag was made out of, so into my scrap bin it went!  There is a touch of clear Wink of Stella on the butterflies in her hair.  It is so hard to get a picture of that stuff!  The sentiment is a clear epoxy sticker.  The sentiment got lost in the patterned paper, so I added a piece of solid pink card stock to the back so you could read it.

We have two fabulous sponsors on tap for you this challenge.  You can click each badge below to shop to your heart's content.

Spring Colors

This week at the Crafty Gals Corner we have a spring color palette to inspire you.  We would like to see your take on the palette below.

Love those Design Seeds color boards!  Here is what I did with the color palette.

This cute little guy is Birfday Dragon by Rick St. Dennis colored with Copics.  I never seem to have enough birthday cards on hand, so I am trying to add to that stash when I can.  Expect to see a few more birthday cards in the near future!  I wanted the sentiment to look like it was on a piece of broken eggshell.  I knew I would never be able to get the random pattern that I wanted if I cut it so I snapped an old CD destined for recycling in half.  I picked out a few pieces that I liked and traced them on some vanilla cardstock.  Once I cut them out, I decided to attach them to the pieces of CD to create a little dimension.

We have two fabulous sponsors this week.  The badges below have been linked to each shop for your shopping convenience. =)

Spring Is Springing

Hello everyone.  It is hard to believe that another month has flown by!  It is April already!!  April means spring showers and we are getting our fair share of rain!  April also means gorgeous spring days.  I hope you are feeling a little spring fever wherever you are.  We have a new challenge starting at the Li'l Patch of Crafty Friends.  It is always anything goes in the Patch!

I used Breeze In Spring from A Day for Daisies for my project.  I just loved her sweet face!  I am on a mission to use up some of my scraps, so everything was a scrap except the card base.  I got a few more out of the scrap basket!  I cut the image out using my Silhouette Cameo.  I just used a simple rectangle, but I wanted the little bits being blown by the breeze to be on their own, so the Cameo made it a breeze! (See what I did there?! =P)  The image was colored with Copic markers.  I kept the embellishments pretty simple this time.  Just some flowers in pretty spring colors.

A Day for Daisies and The Stamping Boutique are our sponsors for this challenge.  Just click the badges to if you would like to check out each shop.

Prize of a $12 gift certificate
