Love & Cherish

This week at Crafty Sentiments, the challenge is anything goes.  The team used the image Love & Cherish for our projects this week.

I colored the image with Copic markers and fussy cut it.  I didn't like the white background on the white die, so I hand cut an oval to add a thin teal border to the image.  The background paper has a pretty pearl sheen.  There is a little clear Wink of Stella on her head piece and her shoes.  Every bride should sparkle!

You have a chance to win some great Crafty Sentiment images for playing along.

Hope to see you there!

You are...

Last week was a super busy week for me and then all of a sudden it dawned on me that I had my Rubbernecker Stamps project to do!  It was really late but I managed to pull this project together.

I used Altogether Wonderful for this project.  It is a great, oversized sentiment that can easily be the focal point of a card.  I cut it out using the Nested X Stitch Oval dies.  I cut a mat using the Nested Scalloped Ovals.  Some lace, ribbon, and flowers and it was done!  I really like the way it turned out.

Don't forget to pop in and see us in the Rubbernecker Stamps Fans group on Facebook.  You can share your love of Rubbernecker Stamps and meet other fans as well.

Merry ChrisMouse

The new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner is Christmas in July.  It was very difficult for me to put together a Christmas card when it is so warm outside!

This is ChrisMouse from Rick St. Dennis.  He was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  The stars on his sweater and the ribbon on his gift have gold Wink of Stella for some holiday sparkle.  The star border is from Rubbernecker stamps as well as the Cross Stitch die.  I used some of the left over stars from the die cut as embellishments.  I had a few burgundy stars left from another project, so I added those for some contrast.

Tag! You're It!

It's Tag Time over at Creative Knockouts.  We want you to use a tag on your project.

I used Picked Bouquet form A Day for Daisies for my project.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I wasn't sure how to incorporate a tag, then I remembered I had this tag that was the perfect color for this project.  I pulled out some fun fibers to thread through the tag.  I thought it made a great sentiment as well as fulfilling the theme.

Relax

This week at Crafty Sentiments, we want you to add a sentiment to your project.  The sentiment I chose for mine was "relax" which is something I haven't had a lot of time to do lately.  Work has been very busy and I can't wait until there is time to relax again.

I used Isobel Cool and colored her with Copic markers.  The sentiment came from a monthly kit from Spellbinders.  It is a vellum sticker so it didn't stand out against the background.  I stuck it to a piece of white cardstock and cut it out.  It stood out much better once I did that.

Hope to see you play along!

Buy the Shoes!

Wow!  I cannot believe it is my turn over on the Rubbernecker Blog already!  It is our busy time at work and the days are just speeding by!  Maybe that's why I was inspired to make this card!

I used Olivia for my card.  I love ALL of these sweet girls.  She was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  I gave her a sparkly dress, bow,  and shoes, because what girl doesn't love a bit of sparkle?!  I paired her with the sentiment, Buy the Shoes.  I have had the half doily sitting on my workspace for ages and I finally found the paper place to use it.  I stamped the sentiment and used the Marquee dies to cut it out.  I cut a second for a mat and dotted white gel pen around the edge for a little added detail.  Not sure how well it shows in the picture though.

If you haven't heard, we have a Rubbernecker Stamps fan group on Facebook.  You can share your Rubbernecker projects, share your Rubbernecker hauls, and participate in a challenge or two.  You never know what will be happening next.

Hip Hip Hooray

Our next challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner is Red, White, & Blue.  I can't wait to see how you incorporate these colors into your challenge.

I started with this great Birthday Balloon paper from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  Granted, it has yellow and pink as well as red and blue, but I thought it was perfect!  I used a sweet image from C.C. Designs that I printed so many moons ago.  I just thought she would look so adorable sporting these colors.  Unfortunately, I got her as a freebie from the Facebook group, but didn't save her with a name.  If you know her name, please let me know!  This cutie was colored with Copic markers and cut out using my Silhouette Cameo.

Vacation

Welcome back to another challenge at Crafty Sentiments.  The new release has been delayed, so this week the challenge is Bright Colors.  We should have the new release for you soon.

I have used Vacation Begins and colored her with Copic markers.  My co-worker gave me some embellishments that she wasn't going to use and these beach stickers were among the items she gave me!  How perfect are they for this stamp?!

Summer Kitten

This month at the Fabrika Fantasy challenge our  theme is Summer.  We want to see your summer projects.

I used Summer Kitten 2 for my project and colored it with Copic markers.  I used the Silhouette cameo to cut it out.  I created a little scene using some digital papers you can find on Snap Click Supply.

You have a chance to win some great Fabrika Fantasy prizes.  You don't have to use a Fabrika Fantasy image to play, but if you do, you have a chance to win more!
