The challenge at Meljen's Designs this week is all about Dad! Break out your best Dad project using a Meljen's Design and come play with us.
I used Sports Fan Teddy and colored him using Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is partially computer generated (Best, ever) and "dad" was stamped using the Doodle Alphabet set from Stampin' Up! The stars were die cut and embossed. I added twine and some pearls to finish it off.
Card measures 4.25" x 5.5"

Color Challenge-Black-A Little or a Lot
It is challenge time at Meljen's Designs and we had some great new images this month. The challenge is to use the color black.
I used the image Little Piano from the new release and paper pieced it. I printed the sentiment and folded it a little to give it some dimension. A few pearls and flowers and the card was complete!

Where in the World is Candace's Blog! Hop
By now you should have visited several blogs on your search for Candace's new blog, Creatively Candace. You should have come here from Meredith's blog. Unfortunately, you didn't find Candace just yet! Keep hopping because you are on the right track! If you didn't come from Meredith's blog and you would like to participate from the beginning, hop over to Ceal's blog and get started.
While I didn't make this card specifically for Candace, I thought it was the perfect card for this blog hop!
I used Safari Rhino and It's a Jungle word art. Both can be found in the Meljen's Designs shop. I colored the rhino using Prismacolor pencils. The word art was paper pieced using the same animal prints I used on the background. I hope the rhino has some good luck in locating Candace's new blog!
There are 6 images up for grabs simply for leaving comments on all of the blogs! Three images have been donated from Meljen's Designs and 3 from Sweet 'n Sassy. The winner will be chosen at random from one of the blogs on the hop!
Thanks for stopping by and helping us to find Candace. The next blog on your hop is here.
Good luck in finding Candace!

Tack-ling a New Challenge
Enfys over at Going Buggy has set a fun challenge this month. She is challenging everyone to use an item on their project that was not intended for paper crafting.
Some time ago on clearance I bought an item not intended for paper crafting with just such a purpose in mind. I had forgotten about them until this challenge. I thought I had missed the deadline, only to find out it doesn't end until Monday. So I dug out my bargain. Can you find them on my card?
My item not intended for paper crafting are the large "brads" at the bottom. They are actually not brads. They are push pins. I cut the pin part off using a pair of wire cutters. They actually started life looking like this:

I had to adhere them using some foam left over from trimming my rubber stamps because they aren't flat on the back.
