Unicornmania

This week at Creative Knockouts, our challenge is to have Something to Say.  Use a sentiment on your project and you can play along!

This week I used Unicornmania from The Paper Shelter for my project.  Unicorns have always been popular, but now they are everywhere!  And everything has a unicorn horn!  This sweet girl came with a background paper as well, but it was square and I couldn't make it fit my card.  My sentiment is a simple foiled tag that I found in the Target dollar bins.  Love rummaging through those bins!

You have a chance to win fabulous prizes from The Paper Shelter in our challenge.  Three digital images will go to this week's winner.  You can click the badge below to check out all of the darling images in the shop.  Each image comes in a pack with a background paper, two colored images, two black and white images, and a composite of the colored image on the background paper.  With those sweet faces staring at you, it will be difficult not to fill your cart!

Laugh

This week at Crafty Gals Corner, our challenge is dots and/or stripes.

For my project this week, I used Sunshine Silly Sally from Oddball Art.  I just loved the expression on her face!  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  There were a few sentiments and a sun digi included with her, but I wanted that face to be the star of the show!

You have a chance to win some great prizes from our sponsors.  Click the badges below to find out what they have in the shop.

Winter Fun

This week at Crafty Sentiments, our challenge theme is winter.  We don't get much in the way of winter and snow where I live, and I don't really miss it!  I do still love to make winter cards though.

I used Snow Ball for my project and colored it with Copic markers.  I kept it pretty simple so it would be suitable for anyone.  I have a container of little puffs from back when chalk was so popular.  They were used to apply the chalk so it would look soft.  Now they make great snowball embellishments!  I just got these awesome pierced dies from Rubbernecker Stamps.  They add a great detail without taking away from the image and I love the rounded corners!

You have a chance to win Crafty Sentiments prizes for playing along.  Why not pop over and check it out?!

Cute Koala!

We have a new challenge at Creative Knockouts this week.  The challenge...washi tape.  I have to admit, washi tape is a true challenge for me.  I am not a fan.  It is too see through for me.  It really doesn't layer well.  In fact, I only own one roll and that was given to me.  Now ribbon on the other hand....   I pulled out that roll of washi tape and got to work, and I have to say, I am pleased with the result.

This is Kiwi Koala's Gift from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I colored Kiwi with Copic markers and used the Silhouette to cut him out.  The roll of washi tape I have is very wide, so I used it for the bottom panel of the card.  The polka dots are actually silver and they have great sheen to them, but it was very hard to capture in the picture.  I had done another project using the Happy Birthday embossing folder from Cuttlebug and a scrap was laying next to my work space.  I realized the card stock was the perfect color and cut the word "birthday" from the scrap.  I die cut "happy" and had a quick and easy sentiment.

You can click the badge below to pop over to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps shop.  There are so many wonderful items and images to look at.  You have a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to use on digital stamps.

How do you feel about washi tape?  I am looking forward to seeing how other people use it.  Maybe I will find a new appreciation for it.

Wish

This week at the Crafty Gals Corner we would like to see your Birthday projects.  I don't ever seem to have enough birthday cards on-hand, so I love a good birthday challenge!

When we were kids, we used to blow on the dandelions and make a wish.  If you got all of the seeds off in one blow, your wish would come true!  I am sure we were responsible for seeding the entire neighborhood hoping all of our wishes would come true.  As soon as I saw Dandelion Fae from Faery Ink, it brought back that memory and I thought she would make a good birthday card.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.

You have chances to win prizes from two fabulous sponsors this week.  Click the badges below to pop over to each shop.

Cupcakes

Hello MoonFlower friends!  My turn on the MoonFlower blog and I used Gina Cupcake to provide a bit of inspiration.  I don't know about you, but I never seem to have enough birthday cards.  This little lady makes a great birthday card.

Gina Cupcake was colored with Copic markers and cut out with the Silhouette.  I used some gorgeous cupcake papers from My Mind's Eye and colored Gina Cupcake to match.  The "epoxy dots" I used in the embellishments are actually push pins!  I simply cut the pins off with wire cutters and used them like I would any other epoxy embellishment.  It is so fun to find a way to use things that aren't really intended for crafting on a card.

You can find Gina Cupcake in the Etsy shop along with all of her gorgeous sisters.  Pop on over and take a look.  Andreia is having a special through the end of the month for 20% off your purchase using the coupon code PORTUGAL to celebrate Portugal's win in the European Football Final.  Take advantage while you can and stock up on all of the MoonFlower goodness.

After you color up your new collection, pop in and show us in the Facebook group.  We would love to see them and ooh and ahh over them.  That is also where Andreia posts sneak peeks and other MoonFlower news like the coupon code.  Come visit us!  We would love to see you!
