Unicornmania

This week at Creative Knockouts, our challenge is to have Something to Say.  Use a sentiment on your project and you can play along!

This week I used Unicornmania from The Paper Shelter for my project.  Unicorns have always been popular, but now they are everywhere!  And everything has a unicorn horn!  This sweet girl came with a background paper as well, but it was square and I couldn't make it fit my card.  My sentiment is a simple foiled tag that I found in the Target dollar bins.  Love rummaging through those bins!

You have a chance to win fabulous prizes from The Paper Shelter in our challenge.  Three digital images will go to this week's winner.  You can click the badge below to check out all of the darling images in the shop.  Each image comes in a pack with a background paper, two colored images, two black and white images, and a composite of the colored image on the background paper.  With those sweet faces staring at you, it will be difficult not to fill your cart!

Top o' the Mornin'

It is time for another challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner.  This week the challenge is Luck of the Irish.  We want to see a shamrock or clover on your project.

I used Coffee or Tea Panda from Kitty Bee Designs.  I placed him on a background paper from Nitwit Collections' Bit O' Blarney papers.  I cut out a shamrock from a scrap and placed it over the heart on the panda's cup.  The sentiment was created using the Silhouette software.  It was a cut file that is filled and printed.

You have a chance to win some great prizes from our sponsors for playing along.  Click the badges below to check out all of the great images.

Thank You!

I have a sweet card for you for my Rubbernecker Stamps feature this week.  I used the Foxes stamp set and created a thank you card.

I colored one of the fox stamps and cut it out using the matching die set.  Then I matted it with the Nested stitched circles and the Nested Scalloped Circles with Holes dies.  The sentiment is from the Best Wishes set and I cut it out using the Nested Stitched banners.  Whew!

Bright Birthday

This week at Crafty Gals, the theme is anything goes.  I have another birthday card to share.  Bet you didn't see that coming!

I used Felicidades (Congratulations) from Mari's Digis to make a birthday card for a co-worker.  Her favorite color is red, so I paired it with yellow for a bright and cheerful card.  The image was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.

Epstein

Hello!  It is my turn over on the Rubbernecker Blog and I have another one of the new owls to share with you!

This sweet guy is Epstein.  He is available in unmounted red rubber.  I colored him with Copic markers.  I usually have no idea what direction I am going to go with a card until I actually start making it.  I found this scrap of paper in my basket and this card took off from there.  I pulled out my Nested Oval X Stitch dies and created the mats.  Then I cut out the stamp using the Nested Oval Small Stitch dies.  I wanted to carry the same design to the sentiment I stamped using the Best Friends Etc stamp set.  I didn't have a die that fit the bill, so I pulled out the Nested Rectangle X Stitch dies and the Nested Rectangle Small Stitch dies.  I used a stitched rectangle that was large enough that the top edge did not cut at the same time as the lower edge.  I cut the bottom edge of the sentiment and then moved it to cut the top edge.  I did the same thing with the panel behind it using the rectangle X stitch die.  I love when I can figure out a way to get some extra mileage from my dies.

If you are on Facebook, you should come join us in the new group for Rubbernecker Stamps fans.  You can share your projects, join in the challenge. and just discuss everything Rubbernecker.  We would love to see you there.

Merry and Bright

Welcome back to the last Rubbernecker Stamps Sweet Sunday post of the year.  We will be taking a short break for the holidays, and be back with more inspiration in the new year.

I used Mr. Stix for my project today.  He is such a sweet snowman!  The sentiment is Merry & Bright.  I kept this one kind of simple. He was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut by hand.  A few pearls, some lace, and May Arts velvet ribbon and this card was done!

Our challenges will begin again in the new year so keep watch for the next one.

Daisies

For my featured post on the Rubbernecker Stamps blog, I chose to create a birthday card. I never have enough on-hand, so it is always nice to create one when I can.

I chose Daisies as the focal point of my card. I thought they would make a sweet and simple birthday card.  I colored the stamp with COPIC markers. I traced an oval die around the image and cut it out by hand leaving the flowers outside of the oval shape. I used the Best Friends Etc set for the sentiment and stamped it directly on the white ribbon with StāzOn ink.  A few simple embellishments and it was finished.

Be sure to join in on our current challenge. You can win cash for the store. While you are on the blog, check to see if Rubbernecker Stamps will be at a show near you!

Thanks for Everything

It is time for another Rubbernecker Stamps Sweet Sunday Post.  It is the day that my teamies and I all bring you some new Rubbernecker Stamps inspiration.

This week I used Teddy Bear.  This is such a sweet stamp and can be used in so many ways.  This time I used him for a thank you card.  He will have a matching die soon.  I also used the new clear set Best Friends Etc for the sentiment.  This set will also have a matching die so keep watching for that!

Check out our challenge for your chance to win a gift certificate for the store.  You can pop over to the blog for more details.

A Sleeping Beauty

This week at the Crafty Gals Corner, the challenge is three or more layers.  I got to use this awesome MoonFlower image for my project.

This is Sleeping Rose Fairytale and she was colored with Copic markers.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut her out.  I found these awesome Cuttlebug Embossables on sale and bought several packs.  They are easy to emboss and add such a great shine to a project.  I used a gold Copic Spica pen on her crown and silver Wink of Stella on the trim of her dress.  They add such great shimmer and shine!

MoonFlower is our sole sponsor this week and the prize is a $10 gift certificate for the shop.  If you click the badge below, you can pop over and check out all of the gorgeous digital stamps Andreia has.  I suggest you check out the new Lilly line!  They are so amazing!

I hope you will pile on the layers and come play with us!
