Merry ChrisMouse

The new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner is Christmas in July.  It was very difficult for me to put together a Christmas card when it is so warm outside!

This is ChrisMouse from Rick St. Dennis.  He was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  The stars on his sweater and the ribbon on his gift have gold Wink of Stella for some holiday sparkle.  The star border is from Rubbernecker stamps as well as the Cross Stitch die.  I used some of the left over stars from the die cut as embellishments.  I had a few burgundy stars left from another project, so I added those for some contrast.

Button up!

This week at the Crafty Gals Corner our challenge is for you to use buttons.  I have a million or so buttons, and haven't been giving them any crafty love, so this was a good chance for me to dig through my stash.

I used Isabella Sunny Days from Rick St. Dennis and colored her with Copic markers.  I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut her out.  The sunflower buttons have been in my stash forever.  They were the perfect addition for this card.

You have a chance to win prizes from our fabulous sponsors for playing along.  Click the badges below to check out each shop.

Trick or Treat!

This week at the Crafty Gals Corner, we are celebrating any holiday!  We want to see your projects that celebrate any holiday.

This is Isabella Trick or Treat from Rick St. Dennis.  She was colored with Copic markers, and it was so much fun!  I cut her out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I love Halloween and making Halloween cards, but I never actually mail them!  The sentiment is a cut file from the Silhouette Design Store.  I have added some sparkle with a gold Spica pen to her buckles and some silver Spica to the wire on the broom.

We have two fabulous sponsors for you this week.  You can click either badge below to go over to each shop to have a look around

Autumn Nap

At the Crafty Gals Corner this week we have an anything goes challenge.  I am so ready for fall that I decided to use this sweet little guy.

This sweet digi is called Autumn Nap and you can find him in Rick St. Dennis' Zibbet shop.  You can find more of Rick's art in his Etsy shop.  The Etsy shop is where you can find his less...cuddly...creations. =)  The image was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette.  The pumpkin shaped card is also a Silhouette file, but it didn't start out as a card.  I love how easy it is to manipulate files in the software.

We have two fabulous sponsors this week.  I have linked the badges below to make is super easy for you to go shopping.  You can thank me later!

Pop of Color

We have a great challenge for you this week at the Crafty Gals Corner.  We want to see a pop of color.  So use primarily neutrals with a pop of color.

I used Steampunk Rose Bug by Rick St. Dennis for this project.  Such a unique image!  I loved it immediately and thought it would look awesome colored in Sepia tones with a pop of color for the rose.   I printed the image on Cryogen White card stock from The Paper Temptress then pulled out my Copic E50's and got to work.  The Cryogen White has a lovely shimmer to it!  I chose the burgundy as my pop of color to match the Cordovan Leather paper from the Paper Temptress for my pop of color.  I also used the Cordovan Leather for the die and for the band across the card.  The texture of this paper really is so much like leather.  It was just missing that leather smell. =P  The embossed layer is the Khaki Ruche (crepe) also from the Paper Temptress.  This paper has such a great texture on its own, and then with the embossing it is amazing!  The oval behind the rose was cut from a scrap of Opal in card stock weight.  It has such a lovely shimmer.  You can also buy it from the Paper Temptress.  When I pulled out all of my embellishments, I loved the metal flower.   It actually had a white pearl brad for the center, which didn't really match all of the creamy tones, so I removed the brad and replaced it with a gold-toned pearl.

If you haven't guessed, we have two wonderful sponsors, The Paper Temptress and Rick St. Dennis, this week.  You can click the badges below to pop over and start shopping.

Spring Colors

This week at the Crafty Gals Corner we have a spring color palette to inspire you.  We would like to see your take on the palette below.

Love those Design Seeds color boards!  Here is what I did with the color palette.

This cute little guy is Birfday Dragon by Rick St. Dennis colored with Copics.  I never seem to have enough birthday cards on hand, so I am trying to add to that stash when I can.  Expect to see a few more birthday cards in the near future!  I wanted the sentiment to look like it was on a piece of broken eggshell.  I knew I would never be able to get the random pattern that I wanted if I cut it so I snapped an old CD destined for recycling in half.  I picked out a few pieces that I liked and traced them on some vanilla cardstock.  Once I cut them out, I decided to attach them to the pieces of CD to create a little dimension.

We have two fabulous sponsors this week.  The badges below have been linked to each shop for your shopping convenience. =)
