Sparkle and Celebrate

Hello everyone!  It is the beginning of a new challenge at Creative Knockouts.  The theme for this week is sparkle and shine.  Break out all of your fabulous, sparkly papers, embellishments, and inks and go to town!  We want to see it all!

I used Birthday Betty from Art by Miran for my project.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  The mat was also cut with the cameo from a wonderful pearly blue paper.  You can see some of the sheen in the picture, but it is so fabulous in real life.  The heart doily is also has a great shimmer to it.  I meant to add Wink of Stella to the ribbon before taking the picture, but rest assured, the ribbon is super sparkly in real life now!  I also thought the metal word sentiment was perfect for this challenge since it is shiny.  I have had a package of them forever and finally got around to using one!

Happy Valentine's...a Little Early

Hello everyone!  I have some exciting news to share!  I was asked to be a guest designer for the Art by Miran blog.  Well of course I couldn't say no!  I love Mi Ran's gorgeous girls and was so excited to get a chance to play along with her team.  Thanks for thinking of me!!

I used Heart Sign and thought I would go a little wild with some pink hair.  The papers I used are by Tracy Wray and can be found in the Art by Miran Facebook Group.  You will have to request to join the group, but the inspiration is totally worth it!  The sentiment is also included with the gorgeous papers.  I colored Heart Sign using Copic markers and used my Silhouette to cut it out.  That machine makes fussy cutting so much easier!
