CASE It!

This week at the Crafty Gals Corner, we have a fun challenge theme!  Go out and find a card that inspires you and CASE it!  Don't know what it means to CASE a card?  CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything.  You use a card someone made and create a card inspired by it, changing it to fit your style and personality.  Of course, sharing the credit for the card you used as inspiration.

So anyway...here is the card I chose for my inspiration.

This adorable card was created by Therese Calvird.  The problem with finding an image online is you can't always link back to the exact post.  I have linked to her blog, though and you can see more of her darling cards there.  I am not sure why I chose this card.  I don't usually do CAS cards, but I loved the sweet colors and the pearls.

Now on to my card!

I used Cupcake Celebration from Kenny K for my card.  The image was colored with Copics and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  It was very hard for me to keep it CAS, but I did my best.  I put my own twist on it as well like the ribbon...there always has to be ribbon!  If I don't use it, my hubby will never let me hoard buy more!

Lots of Pink!

This month at the Corrosive Challenge, we a busting out the pink.  October is breast cancer awareness month, and that is when everyone thinks pink.  So we are basing our challenge on that theme.

This is Ribbons Label by Alicia Bel.  I wanted this project to have a ribbon theme, but not necessarily be an awareness ribbon.  That way, I can use it for anything.  I had originally had the idea to make a pink themed Halloween card, but she was way too cute to color as a mummy! =P  She was colored with Copic markers and I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut her out.  I could have used a die, but since I print four to a page, it makes it easier so I don't have to cut the page apart.

Halloween Is a Hoot!

Hello everyone!  It is The first Friday so that means a new challenge and a new release at Sami Stamps!  The challenge this month is to add texture.  Sami has created some darling Halloween Hoots for you as well.

Aren't they just the cutest?!

I chose to use Mummy Hoot and added cheesecloth for the texture.  I love the way it frays and looks like old bandages.  Mummy Hoot was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette.  The paper is from the Eeriesistable collection from Nitwit Collections.

You Rock!

It's another Wednesday which means it is another challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner.  This week our challenge to you is to use die cuts or punches.  I love my die cuts, so that's what I had to go with for my card this week.

This week I used Ted Rock Star Guitar from Morgan's Artworld for my project.  He was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the silhouette.  He has some silver Wink of Stella to make his guitar fitting for a rock star.  The sentiment was computer generated.

Just Riding

It is time for a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments Designs.  It is also time for a new release!  It is always so exciting to be on the Crafty Sentiments team during a new release!  So many adorable stamps to see!

I got to play with this adorable stamp called Just Riding.  She will be available in the shop at the end of the week.  She was colored with Copics.  I added some silver Wink of Stella to the star on her hat so it is gorgeous and sparkly in real life.  I just realized her pony should have some ground to walk on!  I will have to fix that!

Halloween Flip Card

Wow!  Another Rubbernecker Sunday!  I cannot believe how fast this month has flown by!  I am featuring one more Halloween card using Rubbernecker stamps for the team post this week.

I decided to make a z-fold flip card this week.  I bought a die ages ago that makes this a simple task and I have never used it.  I figured it was time!

I used the spider and web from Halloween Set One for the front of the card.  I had this paper that was the perfect complement!  

On the inside of the card I used the witch, also from Halloween Set One.  The sentiment is from Halloween Set Three.  When you open the card all the way, the sentiment is below the witch, so it is two cards in one!  I added a bit of lace to the inside, because I love my lace and ribbon, but there was no way to add it to the front!

This was a lot of fun to make and I am sure it will not be the last time I use that die!

Getting Witchy!

Welcome back for another challenge at the Li'l Patch of Crafty Friends.  Our challenges are always anything goes so it is so easy to play along.  Just make sure you are a follower so you are eligible to win our awesome prizes.

I used Witch's Cat from Sami Stamps for my project for the challenge.  It was colored with Copics and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  Unfortunately, the greens got a little yellow in the photo, but no matter what I did, I couldn't get them to look the way they do in real life.  Crazy technology! There is a touch of silver Wink of Stella on the broom and the buckle of the hat.  It goes with the sparkle in the paper so well!
