Say Cheese

This week at Creative Knockouts, our challenge is Birthday Greetings.

I used Birthday Cheese from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps for my project.  While I was working on it, I had the idea to make the picture into a shaker element.  It seemed like a good idea at the time, but it took me four tries to get it right!  When making a shaker, be sure your frame is pointing the correct direction as you are gluing on the acetate and foam!

You have a chance to win 2 images for playing along.  Click the badge below to check out the shop.

Sweet Faerie

This month at Crafty Gals Corner, the challenge is for the ladies!

I used Spring Faerie from MoonFlower Digital Stamps for my project.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  Love her in these colors!  the border is actually a heart border punch, but I only wanted the bottom of the heart to show.

You have a chance to win a $10 gift certificate for playing along.  Click the badge below to see what else is in the shop.

Party Time!

This week at Creative Knockouts, our theme is Birthday Wishes.  I had a little extra crafty time, so I decided to be a bit ambitious!  I made a shaker card!  I almost scrapped it a few times during the process, but I am so happy I persevered.

I used Penguin Party from Hetty Clare for my project.  I colored the image using Copic markers and cut it out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I ended up fussing with a lot of the pieces for the shaker element and don't really have a clear idea of how I ended up where I did.  I know it involved a craft knife and multiple attempts at cutting the foam though!

Since the shaker element is kind of hard to see, I took a close up of it while it was flat.

Magical Birthday

This week at Creative Knockouts our theme is Snow Much Fun.  I can't wait to see what that means to you.

I used Snowflake Fairy from Star Stampz for my project.  One of my co-workers has a birthday in December so I thought this would make a great birthday card.  The image was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  Her hair and the snowflake have clear Wink of Stella and her bodice, shoes and hair ribbons have silver.

You have a chance to win 3 digital images from our sponsor, Star Stampz, for playing along.  Click the badge below to check out all of the fabulous images in the shop.

Sweetie Pie

I hope you like doilies, because our new challenge at Creative Knockouts is Doily Delight.  Stop hoarding them and throw one or two or even three on your project this week!

This is Sweetie Pie from All Dressed Up Stamps.  She was colored with Copic markers and I fussy cut her by hand.  The sentiment is attached to the image, and I wanted to use it.  The Silhouette did not like it, so rather than fuss, I just fussy cut!

You have a chance to win two images from All Dressed Up for playing along.  Click the badge below to check out everything available in the shop.

Smile

This week at Creative Knockouts we want to see a sentiment on the front of your card.  So are you ready to enter our Something to Say challenge?

I used Emmi Loo - Just Me from Crafty Sentiments for my project.  She is colored with Copic markers and was cut out using the Silhouette.  I popped her onto a Martha Stewart doily tag that I had laying around because I decided not to use it on another project.  I used a stamp from a Denami Design Petit Four stamp set.  They are the perfect size for these awesome tags I found at Michaels.

You have a chance to win 3 images from our sponsor Crafty Sentiments.  Click the badge below to check out the shop.

NEED Coffee!

It is my turn on the Rubbernecker Blog.  If you haven't noticed, I LOVE coffee!  In fact, I love it so much, my husband just bought a coffee roaster and 17 pounds of different kinds of green coffee beans for us to roast. Believe it or not, coffee does not smell that great while being roasted.  But as it cools, the smell becomes amazing!  When it is ground, it smells even better!

Since we have had so much fun roasting our own coffee, I figured a coffee themed card was a perfect idea.  I used the Coffee Set and the matching dies for this project.  The stamps were colored with copic markers and the coffee pot has some silver Wink of Stella for a touch of glimmer and shine.  I used the Nested Rectangle X Stitch Dies for a base mat and a Martha Stewart die cut doily for the next layer.

If you are on Facebook, come join us in the Rubbernecker Stamps Fans group.  It is a great place to meet other Rubbernecker Fans and enjoy some great eye candy.

Buy the Shoes!

Wow!  I cannot believe it is my turn over on the Rubbernecker Blog already!  It is our busy time at work and the days are just speeding by!  Maybe that's why I was inspired to make this card!

I used Olivia for my card.  I love ALL of these sweet girls.  She was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  I gave her a sparkly dress, bow,  and shoes, because what girl doesn't love a bit of sparkle?!  I paired her with the sentiment, Buy the Shoes.  I have had the half doily sitting on my workspace for ages and I finally found the paper place to use it.  I stamped the sentiment and used the Marquee dies to cut it out.  I cut a second for a mat and dotted white gel pen around the edge for a little added detail.  Not sure how well it shows in the picture though.

If you haven't heard, we have a Rubbernecker Stamps fan group on Facebook.  You can share your Rubbernecker projects, share your Rubbernecker hauls, and participate in a challenge or two.  You never know what will be happening next.

Birthday Flowers

This week at Crafty Sentiments, the theme is anything goes.  I have been trying to build up my stash of birthday cards, because we use them at work for each of our team member's birthdays.  We have 25 people on our team, so that is a lot of birthdays!  So every chance I get this year, you will be seeing a birthday card!

This is Flower Pot and she is colored with Copic markers.  She has already been signed and is ready to go for the next birthday on Friday.

You have a chance to win great Crafty Sentiments prizes for playing along.  You don't have to use a Crafty Sentiments image or stamp, but if you have them, we always love to see them.  Also, if you use one, you have a chance to win even more!

I hope to see your gorgeous project this week!

Peony Maiden

Hello MoonFlower fans!  I cannot believe it is time for me to post another MoonFlower inspiration project.  Where does the time go?!

This is the time of the month when the team uses the newest release in the shop, so I have Peony Maiden for you.  Her hair was so much fun to color!  The gorgeous die cut panel came from a pad that I found on clearance at Michaels.  The pad is full of gorgeous florals and It was an exciting find!  I thought this one would be an awesome backdrop for this fabulous digi.  She was colored with Copic markers and I used the Silhouette to cut her out.  I would seriously go crazy without that machine.  The hat pins are handmade using some loose beads and head pins.  It is so fun to customize the beads to your color palette!

You can find Peony Maiden in the shop now.  I am sure Andreia has something amazing in store for us next month, so be sure to pop back and see what it is.  You can also join us in the Facebook group so you will know exactly when the newest images are available.  Hope to see you there!

Under the Sea

It is time for some new MoonFlower inspiration over on the MoonFlower blog.  It is my turn to host and I have a fun project using the new Lilly Mermaid.

I took my inspiration from a pretty well known mermaid.  Can you guess who I mean?!  I found myself singing the song Under the Sea as I was working on this project!  Lilly was colored with Copics and fussy cut by hand.  I didn't want to lose all of the bubbles surrounding her, so I chose to cut her by hand rather than use the Silhouette.  She has glass micro beads for all of the pearl bits around her tail and hair.  I think I will be finding those for weeks!

Why not join us in the MoonFlower Facebook group?  As part of the group you find out when the new releases hit the shop.  Andreia also does a flash sale or a giveaway now and then.  Most of all, we want to see your lovely projects.  We love to ooh and ahh over every single one of them.

Beautiful Braid

This week at Creative Knockouts we bring you a dies cut and/or punch frenzy!  I love to use die cuts and don't use my punches enough, so I pulled out some of my favorites.

I have loved this image, Braid in My Hair, by A Day for Daisies for a long time.  I am so glad to have a chance to use it!  She was colored with Copic markers and I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut her out.  I always imagined this image colored in brown and blue and I love the way it turned out.

A Day for Daisies is our fabulous sponsor this week.  You have a chance to win a $12 gift certificate by playing along.  I was just over at the shop and there are some adorable featured stamps right now!  My wishlist just grew!  Click the badge below to add to yours.

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello everyone!  Welcome to the Crafty Gals Corner Blogiversary Blog Hop!  We have a ton of sponsor prizes to be won and some lovely eye candy for you to look at on the way.  We also have our anything goes challenge this week, so be sure to play along after you hop.  You should have come her from Lena's blog.  She always has something wonderful to look at, so I know you had a treat.  If you didn't come from Lena's blog, have no fear.  Just pop over to the Crafty Gals Corner blog to get started.

For my project I used Bundled Up Moose from Eureka Stamps.  I guess I was still in Christmas mode when I colored him.  I decided to go with more masculine colors and I think it works well for this moose.  He was colored with Copic markers.  The die I used was a Christmas present from my daughter.  She made me a happy mama!

The next stop on your hop will be Samantha's blog.  I have seen her project, and I am sure you will love it!!

So on to our sponsors!  Bear with me because there are quite a few of them.  You can click each badge to pop over to shop.
