So Sweet

Welcome back to another challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner.  We have a fun challenge for you...Fancy Folds!  I had to do some looking online to try to decide on a fold to use for this challenge and I finally settled on a Double Dutch Fold card.  I found an easy tutorial by Jan Farring and went to town.  I increased the width just a bit to accommodate my stamp, but it was really easy to do.

This is what the card looks like closed.

And this is how the card opens.

There is plenty of room inside for a sentiment and embellishments if you choose.  I used Sugar Girl from Lia Stampz for my project.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out with the Silhouette.  Her can and her decorator tube have silver Wink of Stella on them.  I added the embellishments to help keep the card closed.  I found the paper on Snap Click Supply during a One Buck Wednesday sale.  Every Wednesday, they have digital collections on sale for $1.  And guess what today is!! This paper is from the Echo Park, Birthday Wishes - Girl collection.

You have a chance to win a prize from each of our three fabulous sponsors this week.  Click the badges below to check out all of their amazing products.

My Heart

This week at Crafty Sentiments Designs the challenge is to create a birthday card.  We always need them in our stash, so it is great when you can play in a challenge as well.

This is My Heart Cake and it was colored with Copic markers.  I colored the image and then found this digital paper that I had printed but not used.  It was the perfect color palette for this card!

You have a chance to win great Crafty Sentiments prizes for playing along.  You don't have to use a Crafty Sentiments product to be eligible, but you can win more if you are chosen as the random winner.  Plus you are eligible to win the prize for the Crafty Sentiments Favorite as well.

So come play along and add another birthday card to your stash.

Fairy Woodland

This week at Creative Knockouts our challenge to you is to finish the inside.  I never take the time to do the inside of my card when I do the card front.  Then when it is time to use it, I have to search for the paper that matches what I used on the front.  One day, I will give myself enough time to do both while I am working on my cards!

This is Magical Woodland from All Dressed Up.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  There is a bit of clear Wink of Stella on her wings because fairy wings should always sparkle!  Because I had four images on my sheet, I used the Silhouette to cut her out so I would have to cut the sheet apart.

I kept the inside simple and sentiment free because I never know for sure what I will be using the card for.  Some matching paper and embellishments and I called it finished! =)

All Dressed Up is our sole sponsor this week.  You can click the badge below to pop over and check out the shop.  Wendy always has a few freebies on offer and you can use them to play along in the challenges at the All Dressed Up challenge blog.  You have to use an All Dressed Up image to play, but freebies make it fun and easy.  Maybe you will win a few more!

Emboss it

This week at Creative Knockouts our challenge for you is to add embossing.  I prefer dry embossing, but wet embossing will work too!

I used Chickz - Holy Cluck Another Birdday from Bugaboo Stamps for this project. The image was colored with Copic markers.  I used the Silhouette to cut it out in an oval, but then ended up fussy cutting it to just the image.

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps and you have the chance to win 3 images by playing along.  Click the badge below to pop over to the shop.

Cherish

Today is my day to be featured on the Rubbernecker Blog and I just had to use this sweet Love Birds stamp.

One of the things I love about using rubber stamps again is reviving all of the old techniques I learned ages ago.  I love digital stamps because of the ease of storage and the ability to resize them, but there is nothing quite like holding a rubber stamp in your hand and creating an image.  I used markers to ink the stamp so I could get two colors in one impression.  I thought the black and red color combo would make the stamp really pop out.  I love the way it turned out!  The sentiment comes from the Discover Word Set.

Don't forget you can join us over on the blog for our challenge.  The theme is Easter and you have 10 days to create something to play along.  You have the chance at a gift certificate for the shop, and you don't have to use a Rubbernecker Stamps stamp to play along.  Although, if you do, we would love to see it!

We are looking forward to seeing your project!

Love Is in the Air

Hello!  It is time for me to share another project for the Crafty Gals Corner.  Our challenge this week is add some sparkle.  Sparkle is pretty easy, so pull out your crafty stuff and play along with us.

This week I used Winter Kiss from Star Stampz.  Aren't they adorable?  She sure has him twitterpated!  My sparkle comes from the die cut from glitter paper, the sparkly heart button, and some glitter enamel dots.  Maybe I should have used more!!  I colored this adorable couple with Copic markers and fussy cut them by hand.

You have a chance to win some prizes from our fabulous sponsors this week by playing along.  Each badge below is linked to the shops, so go have a browse and come back and play with us!
