Winter Wishes

This week at Creative Knockouts our challenge is Anything Goes.

This adorable image is Huddle from SheepSki Designs.  I decided to try my hand at making a slimline card since it is the newest trend  I thought this group of penguins would be the perfect image for my first try.  I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I used a little silver Wink of Stella on the sunglasses.  The background paper is from Echo Park Winter Wishes that is available digitally on Snap Click Supply.  My favorite part of this card is the sentiment.  It was made using a manual Dymo label maker.  You know the ones with the dial and the squeeze handle?  It had the exact look I wanted!  If you have one laying around but don't have any tape, you can also use it to emboss the letters on paper.  Just cut a strip the right size and feed it into the label maker!

You have a chance to win 3 images from our sponsor, SheepSki Designs, by playing along in our challenge.  Click the badge below to check out the images available.

For my project this week I used the Beast Friends stamp set from My Favorite Things Stamps.  When I got it, I just knew it was perfect for this project.  I colored the sweet Yetis with Copic markers and cut them out using the matching die set.  The sentiment is also from My Favorite Things Stamps.

Do the Things

This week at Creative Knockouts or theme is for the boys.

I used Caffeinated Craig from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps for my project. I colored the image with Copic markers and cut out the image with the Silhouette Cameo.  Unfortunately, there was some technical difficulties and my image was cut incorrectly.  One of these days I will learn to cut out the image BEFORE I color it.  I am not even sure what happened.  I think the blade got stuck in the paper somehow.

I feel the sentiment on this card every morning when I get up for work.  I have to have my coffee then do the things. =P  The mesh on this card has been rolling around in my stash for SO LONG!  It is Magic Mesh from Stampin' Up! and I feel like it is so great for a card for a guy.  I only used a little for this so I will have it rolling around in my stash for a little while longer.

The Colors of Autumn

This week at Creative Knockouts, our theme is to use your favorite color combo.  Autumn colors are my favorites!  From the bright yellows and oranges to the muted reds and browns, I love them all.

This is from the set A Bunny's Harvest from Artsy Stamper.  I just used the bushel and colored it with Copics.  The sentiment is also from the set.

Hello Fall

This month our challenge at Crafty Gals Corner is to use fall colors on your project.  I love fall and fall colors.  I don't get to see them where I live now, so this is the best way for me to get to see them.

I used Heidi from Digi Doodle Studios for my project.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  The background paper is from the Bo Bunny Apple Cider collection available digitally on Snap Click Supply.  The gorgeous glitter paper is actually from Dollar Tree!  It is the best glitter paper I have ever used.  It is thick and doesn't shed any glitter whatsover!

You have a chance to win three digital stamps from our sponsor this month.

Set Sail

Over on the Rubbernecker Blog, I have used the new Sea Set stamps for my project.

I colored the stamp with Copic markers and used the matching die set to cut it out.  I used the Nested Stitch Banner die for the sentiment because it reminded me of a boat flag!  The sentiment is from the set, but I cut the sentiment apart so I could have just the layout I wanted.  That is the best part about clear and unmounted rubber sets.  The Waves die made a great addition to the banner to tie it all together.

Bring May Flowers

This week at Crafty Sentiments our challenge is to use ribbon or lace.  Lucky for me, they are a favorite embellishment, so I used both!

I used Rainny Days for my project.  She was colored with Copic markers.  I added a little bit of silver Wink of Stella to her jacket buckles and the raindrops have a bit of clear on them.  The background paper is from Echo Park's Throughout the Year collection available digitally on Snap Click Supply.  Somehow, I managed to use all of the colors in this paper without knowing I was going to use it!
