Spring Flowers

This week at Creative Knockouts, our theme is Spring Is on the Way.

I used Flowers for My Mommy from A Day for Daisies.  She was colored with Copics.  The background  paper is from the In the Meadow collection from Nitwit Collections.  I love their papers!  They look like quilting fabric!  I kept the card fairly simple so this sweet girl could take center stage.

You have a chance to win a gift certificate for $8 for the shop.  That is a great way to get your collection started.  Click the badge below to see the image I used plus all of the other awesome images in the shop.

Tag! You're It!

It's Tag Time over at Creative Knockouts.  We want you to use a tag on your project.

I used Picked Bouquet form A Day for Daisies for my project.  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I wasn't sure how to incorporate a tag, then I remembered I had this tag that was the perfect color for this project.  I pulled out some fun fibers to thread through the tag.  I thought it made a great sentiment as well as fulfilling the theme.

You have a chance to win a $12 gift certificate to use in the A Day For Daisies shop.  You can pop over to have a look around by clicking the badge below.

Flower Power

Our theme at Creative Knockouts this week is flower power.  We want to see flowers on your projects!

This sweet image is Picked Flowers from A Day for Daisies.  I think she fits our theme nicely!  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I plan to add a sentiment, but I didn't know what I would use the card for.  I will add it later.

You have a chance to win a gift certificate for $12 to use in the shop.  If you click the badge below, you can start your wish list.  It won't take long!  I know mine is a mile long!

Beautiful Braid

This week at Creative Knockouts we bring you a dies cut and/or punch frenzy!  I love to use die cuts and don't use my punches enough, so I pulled out some of my favorites.

I have loved this image, Braid in My Hair, by A Day for Daisies for a long time.  I am so glad to have a chance to use it!  She was colored with Copic markers and I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut her out.  I always imagined this image colored in brown and blue and I love the way it turned out.

A Day for Daisies is our fabulous sponsor this week.  You have a chance to win a $12 gift certificate by playing along.  I was just over at the shop and there are some adorable featured stamps right now!  My wishlist just grew!  Click the badge below to add to yours.

Hugs!

This week at the Creative Knockouts we have Something to Say!  Use a sentiment on your project to play along with us this week.

My project this week uses Kitty from A Day for Daisies.  I colored her with Copic markers and used the Silhouette to cut her out.  A co-worker actually asked me to make a card for her to send to a someone, and I knew this image was perfect for her.  I kept it pretty flat for mailing and took care of two items on my crafty list at once!

Our sponsor this week is, of course, A Day for Daisies.  You can click the badge below and find so many adorable images, including a boy version of the image I used on this card.  You also have the chance to win a $12 gift certificate.

Spring Is Springing

Hello everyone.  It is hard to believe that another month has flown by!  It is April already!!  April means spring showers and we are getting our fair share of rain!  April also means gorgeous spring days.  I hope you are feeling a little spring fever wherever you are.  We have a new challenge starting at the Li'l Patch of Crafty Friends.  It is always anything goes in the Patch!

I used Breeze In Spring from A Day for Daisies for my project.  I just loved her sweet face!  I am on a mission to use up some of my scraps, so everything was a scrap except the card base.  I got a few more out of the scrap basket!  I cut the image out using my Silhouette Cameo.  I just used a simple rectangle, but I wanted the little bits being blown by the breeze to be on their own, so the Cameo made it a breeze! (See what I did there?! =P)  The image was colored with Copic markers.  I kept the embellishments pretty simple this time.  Just some flowers in pretty spring colors.

A Day for Daisies and The Stamping Boutique are our sponsors for this challenge.  Just click the badges to if you would like to check out each shop.

Prize of a $12 gift certificate

Giving Thanks

It's Thursday so that must mean it is time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts.  The theme this week is Festive Fun.  Simple and so much fun.

I have used Butterfly Harvest from A Day for Daisies.  I don't usually think of butterflies when I think of Thanksgiving, but I loved this stamp!  I colored the stamp with Copics.  The card base was cut using a Silhouette cut file.  I just welded two shapes together to make the fold.  I also removed the stitches from the back piece. =P

I decided I wanted to add the small tag and I really wanted the tag to say "thankful".  With all of the stamps I own, do you think I had a small thankful stamp?!  Of course not!  But obviously I did stamp thankful on that tag, so how did I do it?!  The word "thankful" came from a larger stamp from a Stampin' Up! stamp set called Lots of Thanks.  It was the perfect size and the perfect font.  I actually cut the word from the rest of the phrase and stamped it by itself.  I can easily pop the word back into the rest of the stamp.  I did a test run and you can't tell the difference.  I got the idea from a tutorial I saw ages ago, but never tried it until now.  I will say I was holding my breath until I tested the stamp.  I love being able to make my stamps even more versatile!

Our sponsor this week is A Day for Daisies.  You could win a $12 gift certificate for the shop just for playing along.  Click the badge below to head over to the shop and have a look around.
