Purrrrrfect!

Hello Rubbernecker fans!  This week I have a fun holiday card to share.  I am sure many of you can relate to this stamp!

A little over a year ago, we took in a tiny grey tabby kitten that apparently had been abandoned by his mom.  The intent was to take him to the shelter the next day, but he melted our hearts and we decided to keep him.  Fast forward to today and now the 12 pound tabby is into everything!  As soon as I saw this stamp, I saw the spirit of Christmas Future!  This is Tangled Kitty and it comes with the sentiment as well.

Pop over to the blog and check out what Keri has for you today.  The rest of the team has this week off for the holidays, but will be returning with more creations for you soon!

Christmas Is on the Way!

It is time for a new challenge at the Fabrika Fantasy challenge blog.  This month the theme is Christmas Is Coming.  It is hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner, but it definitely is!  Time to get those Christmas cards cranking!

I chose to work with Young Deer and I colored the image with Copics to look like Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  You can't get more Christmas than that!  I cut the words with a die and then ran clear Wink of Stella over them and the deer's nose for some holiday sparkle.

If you use a Fabrika Fantasy image, you could win 3 images of your choice.  If you don't, you have the chance to win one image.  You also could win the honor of being chosen in the top 3 and get a badge to display on your blog.  It is time to get working on those cards. so why not join us in the challenge?

Growing Old

I am so excited to share this project with you today.  I had the opportunity to be a guest designer with Quirky Crafts Challenges.  I was a top pick in their January challenge and was invited to design for March.  The challenge theme this month is Quirky Masculine with ribbon or twine.

I used Gus Birthday - Optional from Bugaboo Stamps for this project.  The sentiment comes with the stamp as well.  My design was going to be a little bit different, but I had a terrible incident with my Silhouette.  Somehow my image got moved after I printed it (obviously it was me, but I sure don't know how or why!!) and he got sliced in half!!  I had to fussy cut him instead of having him in an oval.  Thank goodness I was able to save him! I also needed a larger scalloped oval so I used this Silhouette cut file and modified it for my needs.
Since he feels growing up is optional, I raided my boy papers and totally fell in love with this plaid.  I used the colors of the paper to color him using Copics.  A little twine and a few metal embellishments and he was done!

I hope you will all play along with the challenge this month.  Don't let those masculine cards scare you away!  You can do it!

Pile It On has a green and two other colors challenge (plus at least one other challenge).  Gus is going to motor his car over and play in that challenge.

Southern Girls has a words challenge.  Gus is going to go read all of the other entries in that challenge.

Craftin Desert Divas has a lots of layers linky party.  Gus is going to show off all of his layers at the party.

Craftng With Friends has an anything goes challenge.  Gus wants to visit that challenge and play along.

Catch the Bug has an anything goes challenge.  Gus wants to go visit all of his Bugaboo friends and celebrate.

Simply Betty and My First Side Step Card

Yep...you read that right.  My first side step card.  How I  have managed to not make one before now is beyond me!  I have to admit that I thought it would be far more complicated to create than it was.  The fact that it will still fit in a normal sized envelope makes me really happy!  I found this easy tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers.  Now that I have made one, I am sure I will be making plenty more!

The reason I decided to try my first side step card is because of a challenge going on over at Simply Betty Stamps.  I have recently fallen in love with these beautiful, big-eyed ladies.  I actually won Winter Rio in a fun Facebook game that we recently played in the Simply B Stamps Fan Group.  The challenge for Winter Rio is anything but a square.  I really hope this side step card qualifies!  Winter Rio is actually part of a set called Winter Beauties. You can choose to use one or all six for the challenge!  However, each stamp has its own requirements.  If you use all six, you are eligible for a special prize!  You in digi form!  The challenge runs through December 26th, so get to work!

The stamp comes with the sentiment I used as well.  I really love the style of Betty's sentiments.  The papers I used are digital and are in the Winter Wishes Fat Quarter Bundle from Nitwit Collections.  I love that they look like fabric!
