Up in the Air

Welcome to the July edition of  the Corrosive Challenge!  This month we have some great sponsors for you and our challenge is Animals or Nature.

I used Air Fairy from SLS Lines for my project.  I wasn't sure where to go with her, but I started coloring and this is where we went.  It is something completely different for me and I love it!  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I wish you could see the Wink of Stella on her dress and jewelry because it is so shimmery and gorgeous.  Plus the Astrosilver paper I used has a wonderful sheen that you can sort of see in the picture, but nothing like it looks in real life!  The clouds are a Silhouette cut file and I have had them forever!  I am so glad I found a reason to use them.

We have two generous sponsors for you this month.  Click the badges to pop over to shop and look around.

Thinking of You

Welcome back to a new challenge at the Corrosive Challenge.  This month the theme is lots of layers.  We want you to pile them on!

I used Pretty Girl from SLS Lines.  I even layered my embellishments!  Your layers don't have to be extra fancy, they just have to be there. =)  My sentiment has 5 layers, and my image also has 5 counting the background paper.  I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo.  The sentiment is also a Silhouette cut file that was filled and printed instead of being cut.

We have two awesome sponsors for you this month. You can click the badges below to pop over and check out the shops.

Celebrate

Hello everyone!  It's Thursday so that means it is time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts.  This week we have an anything goes theme to get back into the swing of things after the holidays.

This week I used Party Cats from SLS Lines and colored them with Copic markers.  They were cut using my Silhouette Cameo.  This is the first time I have ever made a shaker card and I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out.  I learned a few things for next time, though.  I thought this card was awesome for New Year's but it also works for a birthday card.

I didn't have a star die, so I cut the star using a Silhouette cut file.  I used the same cut file to make the star frame as well.  The sentiment is also a Silhouette cut file.  You can't tell in the picture, but the paper is a gorgeous gold glitter paper.  It is a printable glitter card stock, but I don't think I will ever print on it.  It is so sparkly in real life!

SLS Lines is our awesome sponsor this week.  You have the chance to win three digital stamps from the shop.  Click on the badge below to head over and start making your wish list.

With an anything goes challenge, it is so easy to play along.  I hope to see your project in the challenge!

Star Stampz has a New to You challenge.  The Party Cats love their new shaker window and their new home on this card so they are going to play in that challenge. (both the digi and shaker technique are new to me)

Sassy Studio Designs has an anything goes challenge.  These Party Cats would like to play in that challenge.

Quirky Crafts has a celebrate challenge.  These Party Cats are set to go and are going to celebrate in the challenge.

Going Japanese

This week at the Crafty Gals Corner, it is anything goes.  We are sponsored this week by SLS Lines and My Besties, so pop over and join us.

I had the awesome Pretty Geisha Girl to work with.  I wanted something a little different so I cut a fan shaped card using my Silhouette Cameo.  I used this fan cut file and then modified it for my use.  I also cut a cherry blossom design for the fan.  I chose that button as an embellishment because I thought it looked like ivory.  The image was colored with Copics and cut out using the Silhouette.  That machine got a huge workout on this project!  Unfortunately, we lost power twice while I was working on this, so it turned into a bit of an ordeal!  But she is finished and I love the way this turned out.

This week we are sponsored by: (click the badge to pop over to the site)

I am going to enter this into the challenge at The Crafter's Cafe.  The theme is to use buttons.  I am also entering the Fab 'n' Funky challenge to use no patterned paper.
