Cupcakes

Hello MoonFlower friends!  My turn on the MoonFlower blog and I used Gina Cupcake to provide a bit of inspiration.  I don't know about you, but I never seem to have enough birthday cards.  This little lady makes a great birthday card.

Gina Cupcake was colored with Copic markers and cut out with the Silhouette.  I used some gorgeous cupcake papers from My Mind's Eye and colored Gina Cupcake to match.  The "epoxy dots" I used in the embellishments are actually push pins!  I simply cut the pins off with wire cutters and used them like I would any other epoxy embellishment.  It is so fun to find a way to use things that aren't really intended for crafting on a card.

You can find Gina Cupcake in the Etsy shop along with all of her gorgeous sisters.  Pop on over and take a look.  Andreia is having a special through the end of the month for 20% off your purchase using the coupon code PORTUGAL to celebrate Portugal's win in the European Football Final.  Take advantage while you can and stock up on all of the MoonFlower goodness.

After you color up your new collection, pop in and show us in the Facebook group.  We would love to see them and ooh and ahh over them.  That is also where Andreia posts sneak peeks and other MoonFlower news like the coupon code.  Come visit us!  We would love to see you!

Monochromatic

At the Crafty Gals Corner this week, we are challenging you to use just one color.  That's right!  This week's challenge is Monochromatic!

I used Holding Flowers in My Hat from Sami Stamps for this project.  She was colored with Copics and I fussy cut her by hand this time.  The background panel is actually a piece of vintage ribbon that I got in a box of things from an auction.  It is very stiff and so different from all of my other ribbon.  It was the perfect size to fit my die cut made of two Martha Stewart tags.  I overlapped them to make the shape large enough for my image.

Sami Stamps is the sole sponsor of the challenge this week.  Click the badge to pop over to the shop and take a look.  You have a chance to win a $12 gift certificate to be used in the shop.

Pick your favorite color and play along with us!

Refreshing Lemonade

It is time for another challenge at Crafty Sentiments Designs.  Our challenge this week is Anything Goes, so show us your beautiful projects

For my project I used the stamp Lemonade Sunday.  She was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.A nice cold glass of lemonade on a hot summer's day is so refreshing.  I was looking through my paper trying to find the perfect set and this pad shouted at me!  This is Summer Fresh by Simple Stories.  I have the 6 x 6 pad, so it was scaled perfectly for the card.  The blue gingham paper is a digital paper in the Great White North collection from Nitwit Collections.

If you play along in the challenge, you have a chance to win 3 digital images from the store.  Click the badge below to pop over and do a little shopping.

I hope you will play along!

Up in the Air

Welcome to the July edition of  the Corrosive Challenge!  This month we have some great sponsors for you and our challenge is Animals or Nature.

I used Air Fairy from SLS Lines for my project.  I wasn't sure where to go with her, but I started coloring and this is where we went.  It is something completely different for me and I love it!  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I wish you could see the Wink of Stella on her dress and jewelry because it is so shimmery and gorgeous.  Plus the Astrosilver paper I used has a wonderful sheen that you can sort of see in the picture, but nothing like it looks in real life!  The clouds are a Silhouette cut file and I have had them forever!  I am so glad I found a reason to use them.

We have two generous sponsors for you this month.  Click the badges to pop over to shop and look around.

Twinkle Twinkle

Hello everyone!  Today brings the new challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner.  This week the challenge is lots of layers.  Read on for more information about our blog hop as well!  There are special instructions to follow this week to be eligible for a prize.

I used the adorable Gello Giraffe Starry Night from Kitty Bee Designs for this project.  He was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette.  The sentiment is also a Silhouette cut file that was printed instead of cut.  The papers are all from the Carta Bella It's a Boy collection that is available digitally from Snap Click Supply.

We are also having a blog hop to welcome all of our new design team members.  You should have arrived here from Lena's blog.  If you didn't and would like to participate in the hop, pop back over to the Crafty Gals Corner blog to start from the beginning.  Each of the ladies on the design team has a letter hidden in their blog post.  Collect all of the letters and then leave a comment with the secret word in a comment on the blog!  To be eligible to win a sponsor prize this week, you must comment on EACH blog as you collect the letters.  My secret letter is A.  The next stop on your hop will be Samantha.  I know she has something gorgeous for you to drool over!

We have two generous sponsors for our challenge this week.  Clicking the badges below will take you to the shop to have a look around.

Independence Day!

Hello everyone!  It is time for the new challenge at the Li'l Patch of Crafty Friends.  Since the Fourth of July is a special holiday here in the US, I decided it would be fun to create a card based on the holiday.

I used Edward USA from Bugaboo Stamps for this project.  He was colored with Copics and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I used some Spica pens on the stars and the flag finials for a bit of sparkle.  I loved the idea of the little wooden stars, but I wanted them to match the theme, so I colored them with a Copic marker in matching red and blue tones.

We have two very generous sponsors for this challenge.  You can click each badge to pop over and shop.
