Spread a Little Sunshine

Wow!  I cannot believe it is Wednesday again already!  I have been helping a friend in her shop while her mother recovers from knee surgery and it is really making a dent in my free time.  Last week just whizzed by even with the holiday!  Our challenge at the Crafty Gals Corner this week is Rays of Sunshine.  Your project must be primarily yellow.  We want to see all of the sunny cheerfulness you can muster!

I used Sakura Maiden from MoonFlower Digi Stamps for my project this week.  She was a fun challenge!  She was colored with Copic markers and cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I crocheted the lace myself from some old embroidery floss I had laying around.  It has such a wonderful sheen to it!  I also made the hat pin myself from some glass beads.  I wanted it to look similar to the pins she has in her hair.  I have had these flowers in my stash forever and could never find the right project to use them on.  I took them out of their packaging to save space so now I have no idea who made them.  I am glad I still had them lying around though!  I replaced the orange stamen in the center with pearls to match the color combo on the card.

MoonFlower Digi Stamps is our only sponsor this week and you have a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the shop.  You can click the badge below to pop over to Etsy and have a look around the shop.

The Paper Shelter has a flowers everywhere challenge.  Sakura Maiden is going to go look at all of the flowers in that challenge.

Card measures 5.5" x 5.5:
Spellbinders Floral Ovals dies
Cousin beads (pink)
Bead Gallery beads (yellow)
Recollections pearls (gold)
Michaels dollar bin pearls and goosebump gems
Flowers and ribbon from my stash
